Well, we have Assad's response. He bombed the hospital for daring to show the west the results of the gas attack.

Message 1860242 - Posted: 8 Apr 2017, 3:34:05 UTC - in response to Message 1860062.

So, question for those of you in here who've habitually called the US starters of unnecessary wars, imperialists, etc...

Should we have continued to allow assad the capability to maintain power in his government by indiscriminately killing people who disagree with him in his own country? Or are we starting another pointless war?

Should we continue to allow the out of control fat kid running north korea the ability to continue testing nuclear missiles?

Why isn't someone else standing up to these evils of the world? Should we allow them and in some cases encourage them to continue getting stronger and stronger until we can say *they* started the war?

obama was flying plane loads of unmarked, non-sequential bills in the middle of the night to places like iran?

obama was bowing to theocratic dictators when he was in office.

obama has said in the past "there is no sweeter sound than the morning call to prayer."

obama pulled American troops out of iraq, let isis grow to power and then announced 4 months out when he was going to take military action in iraq.

obama once warned assad if he crossed a "red line," then did nothing when assad crossed that line again and again and again.

Should we continue to handle dictators diplomatically like this?

Are we moving into Syria with our troops, taking the land and starting to call it the 51st state of the US? (no...) Or are we taking proactive steps to promote peace in the world?

If an all-out war starts, are you then going to say the US started another unnecessary war and upset another balance of power in the middle east causing more problems than what we were currently dealing with? (yes...)

Somebody in the world has to stand up to evil. Seems we're the only ones with the cahones to do it.

Oh, 59 cruise missiles were launched, and 23 missiles reached their target, the Syrian air base. Very good accuracy! LOL.

It only needs one to hit the target, so your point is?

But the airbase work already.

Syrian warplanes took off from an air base that was hit by U.S. cruise missiles on Friday, and carried out airstrikes on rebel-held areas in the eastern Homs countryside, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

So, if you don't aim at the runway ....

[quote]"Missiles are a threat to international peace"

Hmm, so chemical weaponry is nothing but soapy water for football fans to blow bubbles with then?

""Looking for words to enter in a resolution"

Really? For how many decades have chemical weaponry been in use in the Middle East?

The time for words is over.
Understanding that the Missile Strike was morally necessary. And understanding that those condemning, are the enemy of humanity.
That's agreeing with my post more or less.

What now?
Why ask me? You're the ones who launched the missiles so any follow up?

Use of chemical weapons against rebels is absolutely unfavorable and unprofitable for Assad and he clearly understand that. The similar fake news is profitable to anti-Assad forces only.

Syria. The Craddle of Civilisation.
Russian director Evgeny Afineevsky has done a documentary Cries From Syria.
Hopefully Assad, Putin and Trump would see it!
CRIES FROM SYRIA focuses on child protesters, revolution icons, activists and their relatives, and high-ranking Army generals who defected to join the fight of the people. It tells the story of the Syrian people who have never lost hope. This film will take the audience on a unique journey in time, from Syria to Turkey, through Jordan, Lebanon and Europe. We will see the situation from the inside out, and through the CRIES FROM SYRIA.

RUSSIAN DEFENSE MINISTRY: ONLY 23 OUT OF 59 TOMAHAWK MISSILES REACHED THEIR TARGET IN SYRIA

Certainly a trusted non biased news source.

So they knew what the targets were. When is Abu Ivanka going to investigate that leak?

Uhh.. that wasn't a leak...

The US Military (about 30 minutes in advance) called the Russian Military and notified them that we would be conducting an offensive operation. Simple international courtesy between nuclear superpowers, especially since the Tomahawk CAN carry nuclear warheads. Don't want Russia getting an itchy 'nuke-button finger', after all.

Since Syria and Russia are allies, it is not too much of a stretch to believe that Russia notified Syria that an attack was about to happen.

This is posturing on the part of tRump while Xi is in the country.
The US has few targets in Syria suitable for cruise missile attacks.

Apparently they found a few.
And please stop referring to him with your not so cute snowflake defining of his name, might you?
His name is President Trump. President of the United States of America.

No Thanks.
I'll refer to tRump any way I like.
If anyone is a snowflake it is you.
Whah, mommy he called the president a Rump. lol.

And I call you out, snowfake.
I was simply asking some here to grant our president the honor that the position deserves.
And I think I did so rather politely.
If you wish to carry on with your demeaning terms, I surely cannot stop you from doing so.
Just know that every time you do so takes you one rung lower into your own pit.

The same respect many on these forums gave to the previous president.

Didn't notice you saying anything then.

But you did not complain to the posters that did.

Nor did you suggest the president deserved respect then, so what is different now.
