As I went up the ramp, my headlights caught the movement of a small critter. A big city rat, I thought at first, with slight revulsion and no sympathy. But then I realized it wasn't scurrying away from me, it was hopping. That is really not a good place for a rabbit to be: no soft earth to dig a hole in, no grass to nibble on, and single digits Fahrenheit. No, bunny, don't cross the track to get away from me, go back down the ramp and across the street to where you probably live.
