Why has it got to go?

Uh, Grandpa Chris, I think there has been a miscommunication.

"got to go", or g2g as the kidz say, simply means a person is signing off on a communication.

g2g was not in reference to Vic's car seat.

As there is no mention from Vic of Angela's offer, I take it he has chosen to take it off line as she suggested. Good.

The drivers seat was replaced months ago, it's black in a tan interior, it cost Me $170 delivered. got to go.

Why has it got to go? Just because the colour doesn't match? On an old car like that it simply doesn't matter and on a limited income you were lucky to get a new seat anyway. If it bothers you that much sling an old blanket over it!!

Why were you convinced it was the suspension struts? When they gradually wear out the springs settle a little bit lower and the front end gets a little bouncy over humps. Wobbly steering is usually some sort of steering joint that is worn out. Had you got the car looked at straight away by a garage they would have told you what the problem was, rather than wasting everyone's time getting quotes for struts.

I agree with others that you fuss more about that old car than your own physical health. Of course it is nice to have independent transport outside your front door, but as Angela found out for you there are local alternatives even where you live. And on a limited income you have to be sensible.

Last thing, if there are any complications after your op and they keep you in, what arrangements have you made for Grace to get fed?

You keep putting words in My mouth, I just said it was black in color, or can't you read?

It was what I suspected the problem to be, a friend thought it was an axle problem, the mechanic said it was a ball joint, ok?

Go criticize someone else, everything I put up, you find fault with...

Byron, you are a beautiful person.

I am certainly not free of flashes of anger, fearful reactions or periods of despair.

I hope to live up to your words some day...

Now, not only do we have to worry about why the chicken crossed the road, we apparently also have to worry about why the chicken jumped into the bathtub!

Ok after paying $281.10 to Automotive Express in Barstow CA, they told Me I have a flat spot on one of My tires, that tire is now on the rear, I'll replace both older tires next month, that's $36.00 for mounting and balancing the 2 tires(which I already have), I should also mount the rear struts, but I don't have $208.00 for that, not yet at least, but the ball joints are done, the engine, tranny, and suspension, are all Mazda made, so parts there are not a problem, even converting the rear drums to rear discs shouldn't be a problem, though I might need Ford to do that. The car still has a bit of a shake, the older tires are partly to blame, when the rear struts are replaced, that should end that. I hope.

I'm going to get the 2 tires in My living room installed in May, the rear struts? June or July, $244.00 at Barstow Tire and Brake for both tires and struts, I'm going to ask if Automotive Express can install rear struts, but that is for Wednesday...
