Last weekend i installed Linux Mint 18.1. on a separate HD besides Win 7 and Mint 17.2.

After doing all udates and upgrades i tried to install the AMD gpu Pro drivers but only got unsupported OS.

Anyone got this to work ?
Simple how to would be nice.

Thanks in advance.

There was a thread awhile back about Linux and AMD ... somewhere down that list ...

Driver 16.60 caused a cinamon crash.
So i installed 16.40 and it runs fine so far.

Anyone knows a tool to monitor GPU temp with Ubuntu 16.04. and AMD GPU ?
AMDoverdrivecontrol seems not to work ?

Hi,
try googling psensors
It may support AMD GPUs too. EDIT: It does. http://wpitchoune.net/psensor/

Thanks Petri will have a look at it.

I use GKrellM for the desktop and i read it also supports GPU monitoring but haven`t found how to configure.
Any ideas ?

Also i am interested in pmsensor alternatives.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You could try and google 'lm-sensors Radeon' or 'sensors-detect radeon'.

I was able to configure GKrellM to show GPU temps with your suggestions.
Thanks much Petri.

Since overdrive control doesn`t work with the pro drivers i`m now looking for something to adjust fan speed on Mint 18.

Something like aticonfig maybe ?

Suggestions ?
