Think they could have chartered a lear jet to get the crew where it needed to go.

It would've been a hell of a lot cheaper and kept their share holders happy (I wonder how those share holders feel today?).

Cheers.

Yep, that would've saved them mega-bucks.

Just read this and thought of this thread...

A Woman's Quest to Prove Her Brother's Innocence Leads to a Discovery

If you want to save reading: the discovery was that they ended up with two differing copies of the same police report. The one that was given to the court for the defense to see had a section which would have exonerated her brother removed.

(I don't see any conclusion as to whether it was the police or the prosecutor who removed it, but it either way, it's a good example of corruption in the so-called justice system, and someone(s) should end up in jail for it... and probably won't.)

Just more ordinary stuff by the system that pays on commission for convictions ... like Wells Fargo ...
http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/epic-drug-lab-scandal-results-more-20-000-convictions-dropped-n747891
A mass dismissal of wrongful convictions ─ perhaps the biggest ever ─ unfolded in a Boston courthouse on Tuesday, as prosecutors in seven Massachusetts counties dropped more than 21,000 low-level drug cases tainted by the work of a rogue lab chemist.

The number of corrupted convictions was so unwieldy that the district attorneys used compact discs to deliver lists of cases they were dropping and those they believed they could successfully re-prosecute.

A Chicago jury found that a police officer unloading 11 shots at a black teenager from inside his police SUV and killing him in July 2013 was unjustified.
Jurors found that Gonzalez didn't "reasonably believe" his life was in danger when he fired at Green.
Additionally, Green is facing two pending federal lawsuits alleging he helped frame drug suspects as part of a band of corrupt officers

something is a little 'off' in this news article. The line I underlined.

Isn't 'Green' the name of the dead teenager, and Gonzalez the name of the police officer?

Why then is 'Green' (the dead teenager) still facing 2 federal lawsuits for being a corrupt police officer..

Oh, I see.... foxnews goobered some facts again...

Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016.

White St. Louis cop shot black off-duty officer — then claimed it was a ‘friendly fire’ incident

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and local news outlet Fox2Now, a white St. Louis police officer shot a black off-duty officer from his own force after a car chase ended in a crash outside the off-duty officer’s home.

The African American officer, who has not yet been identified, came outside of his home while off-duty after hearing the commotion from a car chase that ended nearby. Despite identifying himself as a cop, the man was ordered to the ground by two officers. He complied, and soon after, they recognized him and told him to get up.

That was when a third officer entered the scene, and because he did not recognize the black off-duty cop and claimed to “fear for his safety,” shot the off-duty cop in the arm.

One of the comments highlighted one issue with that: "the 3d cop didn't observe that his white colleagues didn't appear to have fearful stances, so, he figured that he would have to protect everybody from the black man/supposed perp."

http://mynewsla.com/crime/2017/06/22/outraged-lapd-chief-disturbed-mayor-cops-arrest-over-sex-with-15-year-old-girl-cadet/
A 10-year veteran Los Angeles police officer was in custody Friday and the mayor, police chief, police union leaders and other officials were appalled over his alleged sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl who was a member of the LAPD’s troubled youth cadet program.

Officer Robert Cain, 31, was arrested personally by Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck using his own handcuffs at the 77th Street Division station, where Cain is assigned.

The arrest is the latest scandal to rock the cadet program, which was shaken last week with the arrest of seven juvenile participants stemming from the theft of three police cruisers.

The 15-year-old girl involved in the alleged sexual relationship with Cain is one of the seven cadets who were arrested, according to the chief.

https://www.aclusocal.org/en/press-releases/aclu-report-finds-inhuman-violent-conditions-orange-county-jails
SANTA ANA — A two-year investigation by the ACLU of Southern California Jails Project published today reveals violent, abusive and unhealthy conditions in Orange County's jails system, and a record of denial and indifference by the officials in charge, most notably Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens.

The full 108-page investigative report is the result of more than 120 interviews with present and former individuals incarcerated in the OC jails and an extensive review of the recommendations of seven grand juries over the last decade during Hutchens's tenure.

SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) --
The sheriff of the Orange County Sheriff's Department announced Tuesday she's retiring and will not seek re-election.

The announcement came just hours after the American Civil Liberties Union released a scathing report alleging abuse and unsanitary conditions in the jail.

It looks like our cousins south of the border who dress like U.S. coppers have been at it again. :-(

Police shoot the Joker and Harley Quinn at a fancy dress “swingers party” in Melbourne over toy gun.

No cheers.

Now Clyde we know that you're not 1 of the brightest stumps in the forest so you don't have to keep proving that fact to us.

Cops were told by both staff and security before they entered the club that the Joker had a "toy gun" as part of his costume, but the cops entered a dark nite club in dark clothing anyway.

The Joker, while having a good time pumping miss Quinn (maybe for information, maybe not) was approached by dark dressed men in a very dark club probably thought that they were just other party goers trying to get in on the act played along.

It doesn't take 1 to be a rocket scientist to work out that the cops will be paying up big time on this incident. ;-)

Cheers.

Happened here in Los Angeles too. Cops just don't understand that 99.999% of party guests in that situation think their uniform is fake. Plain clothes is what is needed.

On this I agree with Clyde, the only thing that matters is what a paranoid trigger happy cop thinks.

Seeing as it looks like you havn't grown up any you'll just go back on my ignore stupid people list again where I should've left you. ;-)
