Federal Grand Jury Indicts Pomona Police Officer on Civil Rights Offense for Allegedly Assaulting Minor at L.A. County Fair

Three officers with the Pomona Police Department (PPD) surrendered this morning to face federal charges that allege one officer violated the civil rights of a minor who was beaten at the Los Angeles County Fair two years ago, and that all three took illegal steps to justify and cover-up the attack.

A California Highway Patrol officer made his initial court appearance Friday on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography.

Arraignment was rescheduled to Dec. 12 for Robert Tamayo, 37, who was charged Thursday with one count each of distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography. He faces up to five years and eight months in prison if convicted, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors allege that Tamayo shared child pornography using a social media app in May, and that more than 600 pornographic images were found on his computers and cell phones.

Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Two New York City Police Department detectives raped a teenage woman they apprehended for possessing marijuana, prosecutors said Monday.

Brooklyn detectives Edward Martins and Richard Hall were charged with rape, kidnapping and official misconduct. Both surrendered Monday and pleaded not guilty before being released on bail, The New York Times reported.

See when Janne Josefsson asks policeman Ulrika Herbst about alleged attack on the police.
David was attacked and bitten by a police dog, and the dog driver hit his dad Jerzy with a baton. Even though the family is free from all suspicions of a crime, they are not compensated for damages or retaliation.
The police themselves have ruled the case as disciplinary against the dog driver. It was regional politician Ulrika Herbst who chose to write off the case. The decision states that the dog driver was attacked by David's father, Jerzy. But the police dog driver himself never said or claimed that!

Although "The policeman also describes how Jerzy walked towards him with aggressive gaze, clenched hands, and did not hear his call to lay down."

But what the chief policewoman Ulrika Herbst are saying is totally wrong!
The police officer who was "attacked" by Jerzy also say that Ulrika is totally wrong!
There was no "aggressive gaze, clenched hands, and did not hear his call to lay down"
If there is somebody who should stay in jail it's Ulrika for false statements in the court of law!
Even today, the Jurkiewicz family is suffering from the tragedy of the event at Småland's resting place.
- What happened here is irreconcilable. I hear from many acquaintances traveling all over the world. They are rock climbers. Sometimes they do not believe me at all and that something like this can happen now in today's society, says Jerzy.
Dawid adds:
- And that it can happen in Sweden, which is a civilized country.

https://apnews.com/cb04b3eb29e344f58f44e73d3c27e37c/15-convictions-linked-to-corrupt-Chicago-cop-are-thrown-out
CHICAGO (AP) — One by one, the men told the same story: A Chicago police officer would demand money from them. And if they didn’t pay, they would find themselves in handcuffs with drugs stuffed in their pockets.

A Cook County judge on Thursday threw out the felony drug convictions of 15 black men who all say they were locked up for no other reason except that they refused to pay Ronald Watts.

It was the largest mass exoneration in memory in Chicago. And even in a city where it has become almost routine for police misconduct to lead to overturned convictions, the courthouse had never seen anything like the order issued in front of more than a dozen men whose lives were changed forever by the former sergeant.

The University of Chicago’s Exoneration Project is examining another 12 to 24 cases, but the problem is much larger because Watts was involved in about 1,000 cases and perhaps 500 convictions over eight years, said Joshua Tepfer, a defense attorney with the project.
Nice police officers :-)

You're already over a year late on that subject that 1 mate. ;-)

Produced by the same right wing government and security company combination that gave us P.N.G. and Manus Island offshore jails detention centres, thankfully all were ordered to be closed down. :-)

Cheers.

http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Michigan-man-suing-parking-ticket-pennies-defecate-12392629.php

Man gets a US$10.00 parking ticket. He goes to the courthouse to pay the fine. He tries to use his credit card and is informed by the court clerk that there would be a US$1.75 'processing fee' added. The man was not happy about it and left. I wouldn't be happier about it either... A 17.5 percent markup is somewhat excessive in my opinion. He returned shortly with cash to pay the fine... Penny rolls... yep, 1000 pennies.

The court clerk refused to accept them.

At this point, two court officers (police that work at the court house) approach him. One of the officers starts an argument with him. Then the man is told to leave.

As the man is peacefully leaving, the police officers follow him. As the man enters the entrance vestibule (with VERY limited CCTV camera coverage), one of the police officers grabs him from behind and starts choking the man. The officer chokes the man until he passes out (and poops his pants) and falls to the floor.

The man is then arrested on charges of assaulting/interfering with a police officer (a felony) and disturbing the peace (a minor misdemeanor). The man pleads no-contest to the 'disturbing the peace' charge in exchange for dropping the other, vastly more serious charge.

The man is now suing the court / court officer.

Oh, and by the way, the court officer that did the choke is the same one that searched/metal detected the man on his way in to the court house, so was sure that he had no weapons on him.

Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016.

Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power.

Officer shoots man's dog then threatens him with arrest if he doesn't behead it for testing

The Crawford County Sheriff says one of his investigators should not have ordered a man to cut off the head of his dog as a way to check for rabies. This comes after a man says a Crawford County investigator ordered him to either cut his dog's head off or go to jail after the dog bit someone.

Crawford County Sheriff Lewis Walker says Friday afternoon one of his deputies responded to a call about a dog bite. He says the dog charged at the deputy after he arrived on the scene.

That is correct... the health department should have done this as otherwise the man could have been infected with rabies ie if he cut himself during the process. So he was being ordered to do something dangerous that he should not have been doing at all.

I hope FIVE cops in Stockholm gets to feel the full force of the law.
An old man feel asleep at McDonald where I ate a burger only one hour ago.
No one at the location didn't notice any problem.
The police force however did.
First THREE policemen entered with a very bad attitude.
Then they called for assistance and got TWO more policemen/policewomen.
When I left I said to them. "Five policemen to evict an old man. Good work"
One of them said "Have a nice day".

Sigh...

Call of Duty gaming community points to ‘swatting’ in deadly Wichita police shooting

Briefly: two Call of Duty gamers had an online dispute. One threatened to "swat" the other (make a prank call pretending to have a hostage situation in order to cause a large police response.) The other gave a false address near his home in Wichita. The first made the call: "The caller claimed his father had been shot in the head, and that he was holding his mother and a sibling at gunpoint..." When police arrived at the false address, an unarmed 28-year-old man answered the door. Body camera video shows him on the porch with his hands raised as ordered, yet an officer shot him and he died a few minutes later in hospital.

Happily, the swatter (in LA) has just been arrested. While he is certainly the criminal instigator and I hope he is convicted of murder for it, the police officer's action is indicative of poor training ie no firearm control and no training on dealing with possible swatting situations, though there are hundreds in North America annually.

Only one shot was fired and by only one Police Officer?

As a trained and experienced investigator of police shootings. This raises many red flags.

Definitely... I hypothesize that the officer wasn't following one of the most basic principles:
