I search a game monitor.

For my Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti Waterforce Xtreme Gaming 6 GB VGA card.

This VGA card is fine for 2560x1440 (WQHD) resolution/gaming.

I searched a lot in the internet, but I'm not smarter now...

It should be at least a 27".
I read up to 32" is good for 2560x1440 (WQHD) ... - right?

Is a monitor with 'NVIDIA G-SYNC' absolutely necessary?

At least 144 Hz absolutely necessary?

1 ms reaction time absolutely necessary?

The monitor should be for all available games, like ego-shooter, sport simulations, and so on and so on...

It will be my first gaming (PC and) monitor, so help is much appreciated.

Which (VGA card and) monitor do you use, or you would recommend?

Thanks.

EDIT: I guess the maximum I want to spend is around €800 or US$863 (today's exchange rate).

If it were me , I would try to wait a bit if you can, because there seems to be a technology war on the monitor market, which will only drive prices and choices for the better.(And I am waiting a bit)

The tradeoff has been speed/response versus colour accuracy, but that's changing on the most expensive end.

In my experience:
-> Switched to 120Hz, low ms, some years ago and never looked back. Was competitively gaming at the time, and it made a big difference. -> Beyond 120 Hz the improvement isn't so noticeable.
-> 1440p IMO would be current sweet spot indeed. 4k is too much to drive smoothly, and 1080p starting to look old.
-> Gsync would only be necessary if you want tear free on games that will load the system heavily

If you had to buy now, I'd probably recommend the Acer Predator XB271HU . I don't own one, but used one on a 3 day visit to a friend's house. It's more or less perfect unless you need to do art/media. Probably the next generation will base specs off that as minimum.

I am thinking about getting a new monitor. I don't game as much as I use to, but I am leaning towards This One.
It just all depends on what you think your needs are. I never used a Acer, so I can't comment on it.
Just read the reviews and go with your gut feeling.

Happy gaming.

Thanks to you both. :-)

I was uncontrolled over the weekend :o) - and ordered a 2nd VGA card (of the above mentioned)...
So GTX980Ti SLI would work later... - with a i7-6700K.

Very well for 3840x2160 (UHD) - but will 'just' play with max. 2560x1440 (WQHD) resolution - so higher FPS possible...

I think about 1920x1080 (HD) with 240 Hz or/vs. 2560x1440 (WQHD) with 144 (165 o/c) Hz ... ?

How it would work/look?
A 25" monitor with HD and a 25" monitor with WQHD resolution, I play the same game, how will look the surroundings?

E.g. a car simulator, the car have at both monitors the same size, but have with WQHD more pixels (sharper/nicer resolution) - or...
the car would be smaller and I would see more of the area, maybe left and right more and more further, see far away obstacles on the street earlier?

Thanks.

Keeping a tab with the computer inventory of Sutary Tsureku, because it is a quite impressive one, I looked up the 27" monitor being mentioned by Bruce.

One thing being noticed is that such a thing needs to be sturdy when it comes to its foot, which needs to be flat at the bottom.

Next, even more solid if not hollow in any way, or perhaps split through when it comes to the socket.

I made a point with this monitor being used that both the socket as well as monitor itself need to be both held, because of an earlier inventory accident.

Always both the top and bottom for such things, regardless of anything else.

You never know until it is too late and next it could come back and haunt you when it happens.
