Indeed, did not say or mean to suggest the translation I gave was literal. However, from catholic.org's page ""Act of Contrition (Authorized for usage in Ireland)".

Just checked that page & did a search for Act of Contrition. Found many examples but none that stated "authorised for usage in Ireland" Care to provide the exact source for that?

2nd, it was also used here in England (don't know about the rest of the UK) in catholic schools. So according to your source, that was unauthorised here?

Might try (source) from the post you quoted in part.

Only a libtard would call a warning against a security risk a "complaint". Limbaugh was right, liberals redefine words!
(See what I did there? I redefined you as a liberal. Pretty witty, huh? No? Then don't call a "warning" a "complaint".)

Are you suggesting a less literal, less technical translation has somehow twisted the meaning?
Or are you just picking nits?

Yes, though it certainly is open to error in understanding the intent of the originator, I do concern myself with the thought that the intended meaning is in fact being moved away from the original thought. I guess that it is because I was horrified at the english translation when the Latin Mass was changed into "the vernacular"some long time ago. For instance: the phrase in Latin translation was that "he gave them each a denarii " was changed to "he gave them each a penny". I thought that this was a little too cute and adopted an attitude that Vergil, Homer and others are best read in their original Latin and that too much license with intended meaning was was insipid.

Except of course the original documents, except Virgil, were not in Latin.

Perhaps a better title for this thread would be: "In Quebec Canada, French Canadian right wing Christian extremist Trump fan murders fellow citizens after being emboldened by the rise of right wing extremism in the USA. "

Because that is what actually happened. Not what you tried to claim happened, or what Fox News tried to claim happen.

Your leading question has been answered and you were wrong.

Like I Said: A French CANADIAN.

A CANADIAN Surrounded by 99 SnowDRIFTs, Everywhere He Goes.

Yet dA Blame is
right wing Christian extremist Trump fan murders fellow citizens after being emboldened by the rise of right wing extremism in the USA. "

The GREAT CANADIAN 99 Percent had No 'STRONGER TOGETHER' Effect.

The GREAT CANADIAN 99 Percent had No 'They Go Low, We Go High' Effect.

The GREAT CANADIAN 99 Percent had No 'It Takes a Village' Effect.

The GREAT CANADIAN 99 Percent had No 'Healing, Love, KUMBAYA and Hugs' Effect.

The GREAT CANADIAN 99 Percent had No Ad Nauseam LIBERAL Ideals Effect.

How Come dA GREAT CANADIAN 99 Percent could NOT EMBOLDEN a Fellow Citizen to Not Murder his Fellow Citizens?

99 Yaps

Not to mention that the Bible itself was nothing more than a collection of verbal teachings before they were ever written down. How many times did the stories change verbally before the final revision was written and selected by the Council of Nicea to be put into the Bible? Then there's the fact that there was a King that didn't like the original writings and he ordered, by a King's right of being selected by the Hand of God, to re-write said Bible as he saw fit, and thus the King James version was written.

Yes. And here we are.
In Europe today Three interpretations.
Oh, the fourth is of course Islam.

North America perhaps have some more interpretations.

"Freedom of religion" ?
Give me a break.
Both Europe and North America don't have that anymore.
Trump's last executive order to ban muslims going into the US is only one example how silly it can become.
Most muslims are not even practicing Islam.
Those who do, dont wear guns and explosives.

Look elsewhere!
