Well. To me both Pence and Trump are not moral and ethical people.
Both are setting up their own rules for other people what moral and ethics is.

No, of course not.
However, I do find it completely plausible that since he created this world, it is also entirely possible that he created others. So, looking for life elsewhere that we are not aware of yet does not conflict with my faith in 'intelligent design'.

The theory of intelligent design however is NOT science and cannot be verified.

Worse than having no evidence for it, there is instead much evidence against it. This is why the group that promotes it does no actual scientific research; they are well aware that there is already ample research to the contrary. Unlike the origins of creation stories themselves, "Intelligent Design" is very modern so its development is well known, and documents such as the Wedge Strategy show that it was intended for the express purpose of weakening public confidence in science and rebranding old-school creationism to introduce it into public schools, etc.

Thankfully, it's on the wane in the U.S. as many have concluded, quite correctly, that you don't have to dispute the findings of science to remain religious. If one believes that the universe is of divine origin, then science is finding out how it was done.

And that is what I believe.
I think the complexity of our world is too much to have happened by chance.
And the more that science delves into it, the deeper science reveals it, the more amazing it becomes.
Just the incredible number, intricate, and interwoven chemical reactions that allow the human body to survive and support rational thought are not all fully understood by science yet.
And that, again, is why I have absolutely no difficulty reconciling my interest in scientific advances with my beliefs regarding the origin of our very special place in the microscopic piece of the universe that we are presently aware of.

Imposing a Secular Theology. AKA - Ideology. Imposed by those who believe they are Superior to the Irredimible Deplorables, Jews, Blacks, Peasants, Masses, The People, etc. And more disgustingly: A Right to Rule. Is the same as you attack.

As an Atheist to both beliefs (Religious Theology and Secular Ideology). Both of which have committed the greatest crimes against humanity.

What matters is the individual's personal moral and ethical values.
