Conundrum, As Trump doesn't like to be embarrassed, then the Trump goods have to be the best. Which means he has to explain, mainly to his core supporters (Jaundiced, Mark and Dull here), that they don't produce the best in the world. |

Fact: The loony left complains about auto emissions. That's a very lob sided view. Presumably the public wanted road improvements, so there was a tax put on fuel to pay for them. But quite rightly the motorists, of which some are also bike riders, asked why are the bike riders not paying their share. Hence the bike tax. I've no idea if you are a bike rider, but mine is nearly 10 years old, so a $15 tax on new bike would be less than $1.50/year. I'm sure I could pay that and not feel any pain. Diving 20,000 miles/year as I did before retirement, at 30 mpg, would be a lot more from the 10¢/gallon tax. |

How about a "walking" tax? If you use a sidewalk, you should pay your fair share to maintain those sidewalks. Then it is on to shoe & boot tax. ... |

Looks like millions of people in the USA may not be deprived of their health insurance, after all. Mr Barack Obama's legacy here is solid.Keep on believing the New York Slimes. They've been wrong about most everything in the last 8 1/2 years.........Obummercare will be repealed and replaced or Congress will be repealed and replaced. And why hasn't the state of California, which is run totally by progressives, implemented a single payer health care system yet? California has more than their fair share of rich people, why haven't they raised taxes on the rich to pay for free health care yet? They are working out all the details right now. Who knew how complex Health Care is? Once it is adopted tRump will steal it and say it is a wonderful GOP thing and shove it down your throat as the replacement for Obamacare. Of course being Norquistian, the rates will be set at half the cost of running it, creating massive additional unfunded liabilities like the Nixon expansion of Vietnam, Bushes Iraq and Afghanistan. Looks like Korea and China are next on the Republican table. |

Now, if there's incorrect info in here somewhere, please let me know. In the meantime, it just looks to me like more of politicians (both "sides") not representing their constituents but their donors. Looks like another case of swamp filling by the tRump. US Constitution wrote: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2017/07/17/jeff-sessions-wants-police-to-take-more-cash-from-american-citizens/ wrote: “Thirteen states now allow forfeiture only in cases where there's been a criminal conviction,†said Robert Everett Johnson, an attorney for the Institute for Justice, a public interest law firm that represents forfeiture defendants.Grover Norquist would not approve of this tax increase! |

Is Guy still asking about this? His head likely exploded when he found out that a Democrat won't deficit spend. Republicans will and they will be happy to drop the hat. |

The popularity of Bernie's movement and Trump's success in the election are not the results of their charisma alone but reflect a major discontent with the status quo. Wait! What? Chris Christie (a former prosectuor, yes?) had to go and disagree with CNNs admission of non-illegality? https://www.yahoo.com/news/christie-getting-russian-oppo-research-probably-illegal-205306729--politics.html. Look, I know sometimes you have to sort through legalese. You have to sort through intent of writers of laws. Yadda yadda yadda. But, come on. Is there not a dang thing in this country that we can say without a doubt is legal or illegal?!? Yes, bring evidence. Have a trial of peers. So on and so forth. Whether there's evidence a crime was committed or not is one thing. But do we have to quibble over every single thing regarding whether it is a crime or not??? Now that the Senate Health Care bill is dead, shouldn't it concentrate on the problem rushing towards the government. Namely the "debt ceiling", without some action the money is going to run out sometime in September. |

Nasty Hobbitses won't deal with debt ceiling, mmm. Nasty Hobbitses taking the Ring to Mordor insteadses! Oops, wait, Andy Serkis is busy being Caesar the Mutated Ape, now. Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |
