MK, am curious, how did you decide on the moniker "Trumphole"?

Not sure how he came up with it, but it sure highlights tRump's case of rectal cranial inversion.

Also posted in dangerous leader thread. THIS NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED!
Michael Flynn, did Trump know about his conversation with the Russian ambassador and if so when? At least one of them committed treason.
Flynn is taking the fall but it looks like Donald very well knew and encouraged it. Totally amazing but it is consistent with Trump's history of ethical behavior.
The country wanted change and boy it sure is getting it.

What Flynn did is nothing compared to what ted kennedy did to Ronald Reagan (russia) and nancy pelosi did to Bush 43 (Iran).

For purely political reasons, this time it's an issue. The dishonest press is steaming ahead full blast. The dimocrats would rather destroy this country than not be in power.

No matter. Flynn couldn't keep his penis inside his pants either. So the heck with him.

dishonest press. Sad, very sad.

People get harsh penalties for lying, in this case to the Vice President, if he had admitted his error he would probably had got a talking to, in a private room and still have a job.

Think of what happens in courts every day. Plead guilty and get a fine and maybe some community service. Plead not guilty and then lose, 30 days in the slammer. Same offense different outcomes.

...We have a shadow government destroying the individuals on President Trump's staff one at a time. They are doing it from a position of anonymity. We have people at the highest levels of government monitoring their political adversaries, releasing classified information and there's no way to hold them accountable. These are the tactics of a police state.

This is the swamp we need to drain.

I agree with this part Guy, for sure (though we will find little agreement on WHY this shadow government exists which I will always point to unregulated capitalism and collection of mass wealth as the cause).
Of course I can still be honest and admit that I am happy to see this happening to Trump's administration, because you know, HE'S DANGEROUS.

Sounds like a man who thinks the break in at the Watergate is exactly what was required to keep power and fully supported it.

And any 'shadow government' aside, this administration is scummy like we've not seen before and needs to be put in check and/or picked apart.

If picked apart means convictions for perjury, subornation and treason, that is a +1.

I've never defended Hilary's actions- I would rather have voted for the other guy (Bernie).

Who's being deliberately blind to flagrant infractions of laws designed to protect national security now?

Justice is not a game. Many of our leaders have been put through hell over lesser offenses, like ol' Bill getting a 'Lewinsky'- which is nothing compared to compromising national security.

As long as it's not whom? Don't do bad stuff, no problem. Do bad stuff- you *should* have a bad time.

What will you say when Trump is found to also be vulnerable to blackmail?

Yes, let's move on to the next guy NOW. Maybe Priebus or Bannon can be ousted?

The *OLIGARCH* created swamp is alive and well, and this is a BIPARTISAN issue!

[edit] And do you really want to start a debate on what constitutes a police state? Because I can argue all day why the Trump administration's policies and actions are wholly supporting and even encouraging a harsh police state- like trying to hire 10,000 'immigration officers' to go through our inner cities and... I'll stop now before we get to the heart of our political differences.

Michael Flynn *potentially* did discuss sanctions with a Russian ambassador, the security people have said so , he *may* did have lied about it to the VP, and because of this, he became potentially vulnerable to blackmail, *then he resigned* before he was pushed.
First law of survival don't get found out and if you do don't lie.

Senators from both parties pledge to deepen probe of Russia and the 2016 election
Top Republican and Democratic senators pledged Tuesday to deepen their investigation of Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election in the wake of Michael Flynn’s resignation as President Trump’s national security adviser, opening a new and potentially uncomfortable chapter in the uneasy relationship between Trump and Capitol Hill.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said such an investigation is “highly likely,” and the top two members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) and Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-Va.), stood side by side Tuesday to announce that the committee’s ongoing probe must include an examination of any contacts between Trump campaign officials and the Russian government.

Ethics watchdog calls on WH to investigate Conway’s comments - Feb 14th
The Office of Government Ethics wrote to White House attorneys that there was reason to believe that Conway violated the standards of ethical conduct for executive employees by endorsing the president’s daughter’s products during a television interview last week.
