Hello. When i go to the "Show all tasks" section on my profile page, i see 64 tasks "In progress". Link But my Boinc-Client never got these tasks. I have taken a look into the Boinc message window. It also didn't perceive them. My setting is to get enough work for 1 day. But it's too much for one day. Even with the GPU. Sorry for the people who have to wait now, because the tasks are not progressed. Is there a way to tell Boinc to get them afterwards? Thanks in advance. |

Make sure you haven't accidentally clicked the "Show active tasks" button as doing so will hide all but the task(s) being worked on by SETI@Home Otherwise they are "ghosts", and they are sitting stuck somewhere in the internet, lost. Another thing to try is to change your cache settings to something like "Store a least" = 5 days, and "Store an additional" = 0.1 days. Doing this may get the lost one's back, or a fresh set. Thanks for the reply. Boinc shows also the queued tasks. So the button isn't clicked. I will try out the recommended settings. But to not get more people waiting, i will try it when the charity race(on another project) is over. So that i can assign all cores for the gpu. The race ends at the 01.28.2017. Thanks. |

As I remember, I had more than 800 8.23 & 8.24 ghost WUs "In Progress", and those WUs were "Abandoned" and reassigned to other host when I removed SETI@home from BOINC client and re-added. |

If you have no current tasks then do a project reset to clear them. Cheers. |

I don't think that removing and re-adding Seti from/to Boinc will work. Because Boinc never heard about those tasks. If this should work, there must be a signal from Boinc to Seti to cancel all tasks, even those Boinc doesn't know. I will try it after the race and see if it works. Thanks a lot for all your replies. |

It's the SETI servers that needs to know, not BOINC, a project reset will clear them. ;-) Cheers. |

Know i couldn't wait. I stopped Boinc for a minute and removed Seti. Then i restarted Boinc. At the moment there is no change. Link Maybe it needs a day. I will add Seti tomorrow again. I don't want too many breaks in between the race. Thanks for the reply. |

Know i couldn't wait. I stopped Boinc for a minute and removed Seti. How did you remove Seti with BOINC stopped?? The way to remove a project is with the BOINC Manager running, select the project in the Projects Tab, Click on Remove, confirm you want to remove it and then it's gone. If you wish to run Seti again, re-connect to the project using the manager. If it still shows non existent WUs, do as Wiggo suggested and re-set the project. Grant Darwin NT |

I stopped the running tasks using the pause/break function. To avoid errors in the calculation. Then i removed Seti, like you described and restarted Boinc. I only shortened the sentence. ;-) Edit: If i click the Reset button, what will happen? Are all the credits lost i gained over the years? |

Which SETI tasks do you have running? I don't see any here, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6721244 All I see is 64 Ghosts from 8.23 & 8.24. The last SETI task you finished was on 14 Jan. There isn't anything there except the Ghosts that will Never be finished. Removing the Project will not have any effects on past work done. All it will do is remove the SETI folder, Abandon All those Ghosts, and Clear the SETI record so you start with New Valid tasks. With BOINC running, Open the Projects Tab, Select Seti@home, and hit the Remove button. Then reattach Seti@home and all those Invalid Ghosts tasks will be gone. You do not need to be restarting BOINC, Remove Seti@home, and reattach it with BOINC running. |

Problem solved! All the task become "Abandoned" when i added Seti again and Boinc communicates with the project. Great! Thanks a lot, for all the help! :-) |
