Without knowing enough about how a Chromebook actually works, I bought a Chromebook. Now I'm wondering if there is any way to get a Chromebook to run BOINC. If not, maybe the BOINC coders could develop a chrome(book) app. No? Thanks for any responses. ~Sue~ |

I think it depends on the CPU, so we need a bit more info about your new Chromebook. |

Also not all apps will run on a Chromebook as it runs a different version of Android. I believe. |

Wikipedia article on Chrome OS Meanwhile in September 2014, Google launched App Runtime for Chrome (beta), which allows certain ported Android applications to run on Chrome OS. Runtime was launched with four Android applications: Duolingo, Evernote, Sight Words, and Vine. Gearing more towards Android than straight Linux, maybe. Google Chrome Apps |
