My recent work unit was working on data from 0hrs 58m 16s RA @ +1 degree 28'37" Declination, the antenna drifted to 1hr 59m 55s RA at the same declination by the end of the Arecibo observation. My results were that I had 14 signals detected. Spikes, Pulses, etc.

My question is this, since this observation occurred along the celestial equator where allot of satellites are in stationary orbit, would I be safe in assuming that these could be the result of satellite communications if anything?

At the moment I am getting a voice notification that I have 4 detected spike signals in the same region of the sky at 0hrs 37m 14s @ +1degree 18'30"

These two work units were recorded on Sept 10 and 11, 2009.

These results will go into the "melting pot", to be compared with known sources (such as satellites), and other results from the same location taken over a period of time.

Rob Smith ok, I was surprised to get signals but I considered the location. I suppose if I constantly got a notice however, then that meant a continual RF carrier was in the data being crunched. I am assuming each block of data being processed was for a one second block. My assumption is from the graphics of the SETI @ Home Version 8 app. I might also assume that occasional spikes or pulses etc might not indicate anything significant however if each block contained such then something definitely would be producing a radio transmission.
