After a month my 3570K rig has gone from a RAC of 20K with 2x GTX 660's in it to well over 35K with the GTX 1060's in it while drawing 15% less power.

Cheers.

This Arecibo diet now has my 3570K rig well past 40K now, how far it will fall back when the Guppi's return will be interesting.

Well seeing as I can't get my front disk rotors and lower ball joints done until later next month I decided that I'll get my birthday present to myself even earlier, 2 Gainward GeForce GTX 1060 3GB should be here next week for my 2500K rig.

That will shave a bit more off the next power bill. :-)

Cheers.

I bought some 1050Tis to replace some aging 750Tis and am very happy with the upgrade. Got them on sale for $129.99 and some $10.00 rebates to further lower their price. They are the simple EVGA SC single fan variety, no six pin requirement. They are stock autoboosting to 1800+.

My 2 Gainward 1060's are leaving Brisbane today so hopefully they'll be at the post office here on Friday (if not I'll just have to wait until Monday morning).

Cheers.

Well there actually isn't much difference between the 2 brands of 1060's.

Memory clocks are the same, but the ASUS' GPU cores spin up to 1923MHz while the Gainwards' GPU cores spin only up to 1885MHz.

On w/u's though, there's only 5-10 seconds that separate the 2 brands.

@75% fan speed both brands also sit at very similar temps.

Cheers.

The 2500K's case with the 550Ti's in it pulled 330W at the wall and with the 660's now in it it's now only pulling 315W.

Now with the 1060's its only pulling 270W.

Of course that is on 230V so those numbers won't be as good on 110V.

Cheers.

My 2500K is going ballistic (now over 24K) as it tries to catch up with my 3570K.

Cheers.

. . They sound nice, I bought an MSI low profile GTX1050ti to replace the GT730 I have been running in my Core2 Duo rig and the results have been really great. It more than doubled the RAC. And it is only using a few watts more than before. A very happy customer. Mind you, being in OZ it cost $239 AUD, but worth it.

My 3570K rig is still sitting around 40K, while my 2500K rig has now passed 33K (and still climbing) as my total RAC heads towards 74K.

Cheers.

Well I'm now heading towards 77K, my 2500K has passed 35K while the 3570K has passed 41K and I've been averaging 83K on the daily returns for the last 2 weeks now.

Cheers.

Well I just hit 80K, not bad for 2 rigs running mid range hardware. :-D

The 3570K has passed 42K now as the 2500K heads towards 38K.

Cheers.

Well last week's hiccup knocked my RAC's about dipping my total back down to just under 80K, but that's back over 80K again (it did hit 83K).

The 3570K is now back under 42K (it hit 43K) while the 2500K is back to knocking on 39K.

These 1060's have certainly impressed me.

I wonder what the servers and this week's outrage have in store for us.

Cheers.

Well I'm very surprised here this morning as my RAC is back up to 83K, the 3570K is back to 43K while the 2500K has finally reached 40K and that's after running out of GPU work before yesterday's outrage. :-O

I wonder how long this Arecibo diet is going to last for this time?

Cheers.

I've now got a total RAC of over 86K. :-O

My 3570K rig is well past 44K while my 2500K rig is now well past 41K.

How long to go before those GBT tasks come back and put a lid on this kind of behaviour?

Cheers.

An 88K RAC yesterday and 89K today. :-O

The 2500K has now passed 43K while the 3570K is trying for 46K and yesterday's stats dump said that I returned over 113K in 24hrs (it'll be interesting to see what the last 24hrs produced when they come through in a few hours).

Cheers.

Yeah, the kitties are getting a pretty nice bump from their recent all-Aerecibo diet as well.

Quite often the hardest part about the gift to self is explaining how much the refrigerator size box with the big letters "CRAY" really cost to your wife

Well that extra extra extra long outrage yesterday dropped me back down to 87K and the 2500K suffered the most (far too many VHAR's onboard it).:-(

Currently I'm back to 90K RAC and the 3570K rig is trying to get back to 47K while the 2500K is back to 43.5K.

But then again a limiter of some sort was needed to remind us that we are only mortal. .;:-)

Cheers.
