Hi
I recently replaced my old Radeon 5850 with a GTX 1070. A very nice upgrade, it's currently crunching away at 2.1GHz.
I tried to figure out how to make it run several WU's at the same time by going through the forum. I made an app_config.xml file and copied this content to it:

<app_config>
<app>
<name>astropulse_v7</name>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>.50</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>.67</cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>
<app>
<name>setiathome_v7</name>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>.5</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>.075</cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>
</app_config>

But it does nothing. And I don't have a clue what I'm doing.

Just to start you are going to have to change Setiathome_v7 to Setiathome_v8 and those are the WUs we are currently running.

Replace setiathome_v7 with setiathome_v8

I did this, the file is placed in C:/Program files/BOINC.

Restart BOINC, Read local prefs files.

There is still 7 cpu wu's and one gpu, like before.

Oh, that was the right directory. Thanks!
That did the trick it works!

What is the recommended number of wu's for the GTX 1070?
edit: I changed it to 3, with a free cpu thread for each.
