Installed BOINC about a month ago, and it shows "work done" = 0. Reset all settings to default, everything looks ok, but nothing happens.

You currently have 10 tasks "in progress" - this means that they are on your computer, and may, or may not be actually being calculated. Typical tasks take between two and four hours to calculate. How long it will take for your computer to complete a task will depend on what else you are doing as. by default, BOINC will stop calculating if you are doing anything significant on it, and obviously calculation stops when you turn your computer off, or put it to sleep.
