I've managed to get about 2 dozen WUs over the last few hours. Given that a big chunk of what I have got are shorties, I expect to be out of GPU work in the next 3-5 hours, if I can keep getting the odd WU here & there. Sooner if not.

. . It is looking bad indeed! I don't know what they have done to the servers but they are now as flaky as all heck.

I just ran out of GPU work on my main system. Given the number of shorties that were about when I was last able to get work, it'll only be a few more hours before it's out of CPU work as well.

At least Einstein pays credits well with the beta 1.18 application for FGRPB1G for those who care about that. On Nvidia Pascal cards, the tasks run about the equivalent time as Guppie BLC VLAR's but pay out at 3465 credits.

My slowest cruncher is even out of SETI GPU work and all crunchers are done to about 50 CPU tasks.

I've ordered a Seasonic M12II-620W EVO, which is fully modular. Can even take the power cables off.
Was going for the Thermaltake up till I found that one, partly because you can control the fan speed via your mobile phone - really, I don't see the need either, but okay. :)
But also because it comes with a 7 year warranty.

Then I found Johnny Lucky PSU Lemon List in which some Thermaltakes aren't showing off as too well, and everywhere I look Seasonic is said to be the ultimate best in PSU. It being the same price as the beQuiet and the Thermaltake, I went for the Seasonic in the end.

All better than the Huntkey HK600-53AP server PSU I have in my case now - it came with my case and I must say I never checked up on it earlier, until my power outages happened. Apparently it's been in the tier 5 - or replace ASAP list of Newegg Eggxpert Tiered Power Supply List since 2008. Anything Huntkey in your system? Get rid of it pronto, as it can even damage your hardware.

So no more crunching for me until my Seasonic is in, no more gaming either. I'll be in the living room watching Fringe, or Knight Rider (TOS), or Andromeda. :)
Will have to wait until Tuesday afternoon for the new PSU to come in. Oooh, can't wait. :)

All joking aside and so forth though, I still like my suggestion from last week or the week before about putting limits on just how much work can be issued in one request. If people take smaller bites of the pie, then there are more bites available, which means more people can get a taste of the pie, albeit at the cost of not getting a full stomach. .....unless there's a way to speed the feeder up.

. . I am now very new to Einstein but it must need some tweaking because my runtimes are far longer than Blc tasks and the credits don't look that good, in fact they seem about comparable to Seti. Overnight I accrued about 10,000 on a machine that does 31,000 a day on Seti. Looking at the monitors (afterburner) the CPU is overcommitted and the GPU usage is eratic and low. Oh well, it is hopefully only a temporary thing.

Stephen to get Nvidea GPUs to run at a full and smooth level on Einstein open cl tasks you need to run more than 1 at a time. The easiest way to do that there is on your project preferences.
Your first couple of days on most projects a lot of your results will go into pending.
You should also run the beta testing, they have a fix for Windoz that improves throughput at least double. Einstein gives credit for beta tasks.

. . Thanks for posting those links. Several months ago I had a PC repaired at JW Computers at Villawood, it turned out that the PSU had failed. I selected a replacement from their catalogue, a Coolermaster 650W modular unit and paid for that unit. After Igot home I had an issue with the PC which required opening the case to fix. It turned out they had left the the power connector off the Optical drive which nearly blew the thing up, everything was running red hot (the IDE bus was still connected). I corrected the defficiency but noticed that they had not fitted the PSU I had selected and paid for but another Coolermaster unit (also rated at 650W) a GX650 which is not a modular setup and is cheaper than the one I selected. I decided to not do anything about it at the time ... what a mistake. I have now found it on that Lemon list ... what a surprise.

. . Oh well :(
