They have time to spend hours and hours creating this crap, but spending a minute to post about problems or progress with the project, is too much to ask.
Yeah, there went that excuse for not keeping us peons updated about the project.

It probably took as much grey matter to work this change out as it did to bring us Credit New, and we all know how screwed up that is.

I think some of you people forget that The University of California owns this forum and they occasionally use it for educational purposes. I seriously doubt that the Seti scientists suddenly decide to recode the forum. It is most likely that a student is learning or practicing coding in a real world environment Get a grip people.

I will say that I don't like it but the main reason is that this is much harder for me to read. That seems to be the trend. As eyes get older they start to loose the ability to certain colors. This grey on grey is really hard to see.

When I upgraded my monitor recently from 1920x1200 to 2560x1440, I had to up the font size too.

Well I would not hire the guy who coded this without a user option for "classic".
And I certainly wouldn't hire the guy who let him/her, because in the real world your suppliers matter.

Posting to let everyone know to GO TO Number Crunching, GO TO the "Panic Mode...(103)..." Thread, find HAL9000's Post with a Link to Color-That-Site for Firefox. (If you have Firefox, that is...) Click said Link and Install Color-That-Site. Upon completion of Install, you will be prompted to Restart FF. Upon Restart of FF, go to SETI@Home Page: Go Here.

THEN with the SETI@Home Page from above Open, GO TO "Tools" ---> Color That Site

For me, at that point, ALL I had to do was go to Background Colors ---> "Invert Colors" - (Check Box)

Then Foreground Colors ---> "Invert Colors" - (Check Box)

THEN go up and hit Save.

For some reason, at first, NOT every part of the Forum got Inverted... I had to set a couple of Pages in the Forum... All of a sudden, the WHOLE Site GOT FIXED!!! NOW, I have a Light Gray Background and Black Text all through the Site.

UNFORTUNATELY, by Inverting the Color Scheme, my Sig is adversely affected. Natural Sig for me is Blue Text for "Have TARDIS will travel" and "Pluto is still a planet"... NOW with the Inversion, the Sig is Yellow.

I'll GLADLY take the Yellow Sig if I can have the Light Gray Background with Black Text EVERYWHERE else!!! 😃 😃 😃 😃

I tried invert on both background and foreground, plus separately, no dice, I could not read the page at all in FF 48.
