Is there a way to transfer the work my computer is doing under Windows to Linux. Sometimes I spend many hours in Linux.

All but impossible.
The simplest thing to do is to install BOINC on your Linux machine (or partition) then attach to the project using the same email account as you used for your Windows machine. Both will then get work, and return work when finished.
