Three to six months, and then he will be impeached.
Can't have that moron, and slave to Putin, as a President.
Case closed.

I would not be surprised in the least honestly. It depends how well he can hijack the govt and how well he can silence his critics. (/me puts a flack jacket on)

Just watched the Senate approve the waiver for Gen. Mattis to become SecDef by 81-17.

Someone said the workings of Government is much like watching Sausage being made........but it's entertaining to watch when the Sausage is being made out of Sanders, Warren and Booker. I look forward to their antics and facial expressions over the coming 4 years as it finally dawns on them just how irrelevant they have become to the real world.

Has anyone else noticed the references to violence trump supporters reference anytime there is the slightest whiff of the Real Donald?
@ Gary could you please cite specific incidences of these 'references to violence' to those of us not as informed as you?

I got a BIG LAUGH out of Rep Speiler (D-Ca) saying that the President Elect is running 'rough shod' over the will of the House Armed Services Committee and Congress on the Mattis nomination (like that hasn't happened in the last 8 years). As the current President so famously said, "Elections have consequences".

If so he pick odd persons to his cabinet.

Retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, Donald Trump’s pick to be the next U.S. defense secretary, placed Russia first among principal threats facing the United States, arguing for greater American support for European allies to counter what he said were Moscow’s attempts to “break” the North Atlantic alliance.

Of course he must create plausible deniability. Don't be fooled. Trump decides what Mattis will do. (Or rather Putin does) Talk is cheap, and talk is all Mattis has done so far on this issue.
As long as Trump is the President, (the puppet of Putin) nobody in the U.S government, will do anything against Russia (Soviet Union). They may talk, but again, talk is cheap.
Under Trump, the U.S will be ruled by Putin. That is, until Trump is removed.

So, I guess the Soviet Union won the cold war after all....
Geeze, suckers.....Bwahahaha.....
And what is your solution to Putin excesses? Being on the border with Russia I can't imagine you would want a 'Hot War'. Still amazes me how some folks want nothing other than the US to fail. Do you REALLY understand what that would mean............to you personally?

One positive thing, Trump is educational to youth.
The question used to be "Daddy what's an erection?"
Now it is "Daddy what's Golden Showers?"

Straight from Buzz Feed.

Gary, still haven't seen your examples of 'references to violence'. I have however seen the disgusting painting(falsely labeled as 'art') in Washington depicting those who 'serve and PROTECT' us as pigs. It's fortunate the vast majority of law enforcement isn't selective as to who they 'serve and protect'.

Why some is right there in the title of the thread. "RIOTING" "LOOTING" "DESTRUCTION"But you must think of those things as nonviolence.
The only way I can figure you to think of them as not violent is is you are self justifying using them on others. I'm sure you would call them violence if there were used against you.

Uhh, I was not being sarcastic nor joking.
I predict he shall be a two term president.
Choke on your words.
And I shall if I turn out to be wrong.

The man has charisma. The man has many things right.
If they turn out to be rhetoric rather than deeds, we all might be in trouble.
But, I am going to give the man I voted for his time in office because I found no viable alternative at the time.

He is our elected president, and I am standing with him.

I agree this is curious to me also. The apparent duality between Trumps feelings for Putin and some of his cabinet picks' feelings.

Even Rex Tillerson has stated his belief in taking a hard line against Putin (at least publicly). But I cannot overlook his long time ties with Putin and Russia.

I fear that these guys are just putting on a good show, in order to keep people appeased.

As another here mentioned, talk is cheap. The real answers will come with their actions. Your guess is as good as mine what's going to happen in 7 days. But I fear things are not going to be "great".

@Mark, (hope you are well) Only time will tell. As a liberal I am obligated to be open to new ideas, but I am also worried. :-(

I would much rather have an executive with advisors who are not token yes men as has been the case for the last 8 years.

Obama has been our token ====== president for 8 years now.
The future is bright ahead.
And it is not totally a gift.
We, the people have some say in it.
We have voted the best we can find into office.
That is not to say the perfect one.
But, he is our president now, and we should do what we can to support him.
I know not all of you agree with that.

So, please stop the bashing and stand behind our Nation, Under God.
We have the best country in the entire world, folks.
We have elected a new leader.
Let us please allow him to spread his wings.
I assure you that what follows shall be a bit different than the political fighting for life in the pre election era.

Yes, this man could lead us to 'Make America Great Again.'
And if I did not believe that, I would not have voted for him.
Amen.
And meow.

Elizabeth Warren yesterday intimated that Dr Ben Carson would funnel HUD funds in the direction of the Trump family................shameful. Just a ploy to keep her name in play for 2020, much like Cory Booker.

A woman who falsely claimed Native American ancestry to obtain a teaching position at Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania obliquely accusing a man who grew up in the projects in a single mother home, a man who knows first hand the hardships facing the disadvantaged and poor is the height of hypocrisy. And her lie caused both schools to file false documents

She, as Mr Booker, will be relegated to a mere notation in the history of the US.

Pocahontas indeed. Another accurate description by the incoming President.

based on a report in The Harvard Crimson in 1996[2]:

“Although the conventional wisdom among students and faculty is that the Law School faculty includes no minority women, Chmura said Professor of Law Elizabeth Warren is Native American.”

The party of Lies..............indeed.

The Harvard Crimson reported similar information in 1998[3]:

Harvard Law School currently has only one tenured minority woman, Gottlieb Professor of Law Elizabeth Warren, who is Native American.

What does Elizabeth Warren have to do with Carson refusing to say HUD money *wouldn't* be funneled to Trump and his family? (Once again, a matter of PUBLIC RECORD)

Carson is the one in a hearing to prove his worth, Carson should be answering any questions given to him.

"The former neurosurgeon and Republican presidential candidate was pressed on the matter by Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who asked Carson for assurance "that of all the housing grants he [has] the ability to bestow," not one dollar will go to benefit either the president-elect or his family.

Carson responded it would not be his intention "to do anything to benefit any American," quickly adding that anything the department does "is for all Americans." Carson said, "If there happens to be an extraordinarily good program that's working for millions of people, and it turns out that someone that you're targeting is going to gain, you know, $10 from it, am I going to say 'no'?" Carson asked. "Logic and common sense probably would be the best way.""

Maybe Trump should stuff Warren's hypocrisy down her throat by directing all payments to Trump Inc from his public housing interests to the US Treasury as he did with his Washington DC hotel.

More likely, than those who 'predict' Trump will be Impeached.

If it were possible to bookmark this with a time stamp alert on it, I should be most happy to answer any and all at that time.
For now, I am just saying that whatever has gone on pre-election is water over the dam, and a wise man should ignore most of it.
If any have not noticed, every single elected president has turned out to be a bit different from their campaign trail once in the oval office.
Some for better, some for the worse.
We have to give the man a chance. In fact, we have no choice but to give the man a chance now.

Ride it out, fellas. We got some strong horses under us. And they shall pull us out no matter the storm.
