Laughing again.............yesterdays Dimocrat press conference.............motto "Make American Sick Again".............looked like characters from The Walking Dead. Pelosi, Shumer, and the rest of the Zombie Dim leadership (who exempted themselves from the 'Un' Affordable Healthcare Act), a group of failed politicians(massive losses in the last 8 years)defending a failed program................sounds about right. Like that wonderful sound of a string of dimly lit light bulbs popping when the voltage is suddenly turned up a bit too high for them to handle..............LOL. Now that the shoe is on the other foot... When the republicans spent years acting like spoiled children and getting nothing done I heard no complaints from the right. Now that some democrats including my man Chuck have put their foot down and called out the republicans on their horse dung, oh my the words are-a-flyin now! hypocrites. MK, I think his source was Oxfam Well, my sources are Credit-Suisse (a multinational financial services holding company headquartered in Zurich Switzerland) and Bloomberg News (a provider of financial and business news, headquartered in New York City). His... Oxfam? A charity?? ROFL. My sources say that (as of 2015) it took the entire top 1% to own half of the world's wealth... that is what... about 70 million people, worldwide... 72 million... somewhere around there... leaving the remaining half owned by the other 99%. The top 200 richest people in the world only control around 1.2% of the wealth.. A FAR cry from Oxfam's claim that the top 63 richest people own half of it. Bull Manure is coming out of Oxfam. They are pushing a socialist agenda. As far as the wealth gap... Looks ok to me as it is. You want more wealth? EARN MORE. People need to STOP expecting or feeling entitled to free handouts. https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power. |

A FAR cry from Oxfam's claim that the top 63 richest people own half of it. That's not what they said. They said the bottom 50% own as much as the top 63. Valuation figures swing wildly for those at the top depending upon how much the value for "good will" is estimated at. Mr. Trump may be anywhere between his outrageous self inflated figure and zero as an example. |

[As far as the wealth gap... Looks ok to me as it is. You want more wealth? EARN MORE. People need to STOP expecting or feeling entitled to free handouts. What a JOKE. Hmmm. Let's see. Earn more. Well, I could give motivational speeches for Amway. (Shame you couldn't see the sarcasm a few days back and had to cite posting rule #2.) I could be a partisan hack journalist and get paid tens of millions of dollars. I could sing karaoke for millions of people on New Year's Eve ... errr, wait, lip-sync my own material and botch it and make booku bucks. SCAM! We aren't asking for handouts!!! We're already working! Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |

MK, I think his source was Oxfam https://www.oxfam.org/en/pressroom/pressreleases/2016-01-18/62-people-own-same-half-world-reveals-oxfam-davos-report Oxfam's sources. The number of people whose wealth is equal to that of the poorest half of the world’s population since 2010: 2010 388 2011 177 2012 159 2013 92 2014 80 2015 62 Wealth of 1%, 50%, and 99% taken from Credit Suisse Global Wealth Datebook (2013 and 2014) https://www.credit-suisse.com/uk/en/news-and-expertise/research/credit-suisse-research-institute/publications.html The wealth of the richest 62 was calculated using Forbes’ billionaires list http://www.forbes.com/ Annual data taken from list published in March. Calculations include negative wealth (i.e. debt). As a robustness check, Oxfam recalculated the wealth share of wealth held by the richest 1 percent once negative wealth is excluded. It did not change significantly (falling from 50.1 percent to 49.8 percent). Negative wealth as a share of total wealth has remained constant over time, such that wealth distribution trends over time are not affected. |

Like most of the poor likely working more than one job. It is a myth that working will make you rich. It will not. Only owning the means of production will make you rich. |

[As far as the wealth gap... Looks ok to me as it is. You want more wealth? EARN MORE. People need to STOP expecting or feeling entitled to free handouts. That's commie talk!... Don't worry, we're gonna make America Once the wealth of those 62 people increases, it's gonna trickle down alllll over us... They just don't have enough money to invest in us yet. They pay too much tax and can't afford to pay us more money or give us a bigger piece of the pie. Once we remove these regulations and let their money flow in to them, we will be handsomely rewarded. Aren't you familiar with Ayn Rand? Friggin commies. How dare you want a bigger piece of the pie. OBEY! #resist |

Luckily for you, we're going to REPEAL(!) and [eventually] REPLACE Obamacare. VICTORY is yours sir. High five! See, in my world (here in NY), the ACA didn't change much for me (as far as rights go) as my state already offered most of the protections that the ACA does. State's rights, right? No skin off your nose either way. One thing that did change for me under the ACA, is my health insurance got 'cheaper', but this was mainly due to my employer no longer offering REAL insurance where you simply pay a 10-200$ copay and switching to a HDHP (high deductable health plan) where I have to pay THOUSANDS out of pocket before my insurance kicks in at which point I only owe 20% of the remaining bill.. how affordable. Needless to say, I've not even so much as had a physical since I've been under a HDHP. HDHPs are GREAT for keeping people from taking care of themselves, especially those troublesome blue-collar folks. Now That I've insulted the current state of insurance, I'll point out that these HDHPs have cropped up across the country due to EMPLOYER GREED. Companies have seen these plans as a way to save TONS of money while still offering 'insurance'. I believe I would be under a HDHP either way however, with or without the ACA. Of course I cannot prove this. I am also willing to bet that even with a full repeal of the ACA, me and everyone else under HDHPs will continue to have the same cr@ppy 'insurance' regardless. Also, I will point out that insurance costs were already soaring before the ACA, another reason I am not convinced the ACA has raised your or my expenses, how do you know that your insurance wouldn't cost more than it does right now, if there wasn't an ACA? However, I do have friends (people who WORK, Guy, not deadbeats), that never had insurance before the ACA due to their employers simply not offering it. And under the ACA they have been able to get insurance AND healthcare. Which is a good thing. However I must say I am a little jealous that the insurance they have under the ACA is better than my HDHP... subpoint: HDHPs are garbage point: I would hope that the quality of my insurance improves with a repeal of the ACA, but I am pretty sure that will NEVER happen. And there are hard working people out there that are about to be left behind.. SUBMIT! #resist |

... You've received your bill for other's health insurance? I haven't received mine yet, I guess I'll be on the lookout for it now. ... Because a majority of Americans are going to fight one of your senators (Chuck YOU! Schumer AKA HEAD CLOWN) until death. No need to fight him about anything. He cannot stop the repeal. He has simply stated that if the republicans want to uproot the ACA, it's up to them(republicans) to take responsibility for the action AND to come up with proposals for a replacement at which point he will sit down and get to work WITH the republicans to agree on a plan.
We all know there is no such thing as a free lunch. I propose a social-security like single payer system instead. We all pay in and we all get coverage, and no need for insurance companies to be involved and taking up extra $$. I know you all would love that. I figure it's time for me to take a few big steps to the left. Not because I'm from the far left, but because I feel it's necessary in order to offset this shift rightward in policy and discussions in the US. Plus this will make for some reallly interesting conversations here in the coming months. Buckle up! HEAD CLOWN be well, do good, some people are thankful you are there. #resist |

I propose a social-security like single payer system instead. We all pay in and we all get coverage, and no need for insurance companies to be involved and taking up extra $$. I know you all would love that. And we all know how WELL Social Security is working. Bankrupt by 2036(37?38?).....it would just be another slush fund for a future administration to raid for their pet projects(much as the Medicare Fund was raped by Obamacare). The answer (to my mind) is competition..........between Insurers, Hospitals, Doctors.........and no more Lawyers. Tort reform and fraud reduction are two prerequisites to any workable system. Cap the legal awards permissible and set maximum legal fees at $500 per case, and enforce medical fraud laws with actual jail time not just fines. Let Doctors and Hospitals publish procedure fees openly and compete for business. Allow line itemized Health Insurance policies to be sold by all QUALIFIED Insurers without regional restrictions. 60 year olds have different needs than those in their 20's and each should not have to pay for the other unused services. Encourage Medical Professionals to open practices and clinics in rural or disadvantaged areas with reimbursement of Education expenses in return for 'X' number of years service to those communities. Encourage the expansion or establishment of regional care facilities with shared specialty equipment and services(Radiology, Oncology, Imaging, Surgery) instead of each facility buying their own million dollar machines and facilities then pay for upkeep and staffing. Thinking out of the box is what's needed, not just throwing more taxpayer dollars at it. You know good old fashioned 'Yankee Ingenuity' like we used to use back when 'America was Great' (and will be Again). "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Hey Charp: It certainly did seem to be a crime that was at least motivated by racism. They shall have the book thrown at them. But you know what else is racist? Associating the criminals as 'children' of soon-to-be ex POTUS, (even with the quotes).. #resist |
