Just broke into the top 1% of data crunched for the project according to BOINC Combined.

The GTX 970 did most of the work, but I've enjoyed the computer archeology of maintaining some old rigs pushing old PCI slot GPUs. Another GS 8400 anyone?

Congrats!

The first 1% is the most important.
At the top it is windy nowadays. I must blame the climate change or something.

Hi,

Just like no one can say about anything meaningful about a days weather, but a constant drop of RAC raises some thoughts -- is the computing climate about to change?

My thoughts are like: bye bye RAC 0.3M. What's bugging me?

a) the weekly update (100 tasks per GPU, 4h10m cahe having avg guppi runtime 150 seconds, 1h17m cache with shorties (á 47s))
b) the days after the weekly maintenance: There's no seeds to be grown, got to reep from the what was already sown. -- But there is none, nowhere, to be found. (except from the beta). That's the Arecibo Road.
c) You name your own . . .

:) AAD, ADD or something from the days before DDD. And a nice balance swing from left to right at the beginnig -- but The Dynamics of the Record! And the Music. Yess.

Bar and Grill. Sounds nice - I'like the drill. Beef up and sizzle the software over there. Wearing a Top Hat: Yeah with a signal, Cover me, cause I'm changing lanes..

And here's one from the Hotel Berkeley from the side band receiver:
The warm smell of the GPUs

you can limit the download rate in options -> computing preferences -> network if that helps

There is a cc_config.xml option <max_file_xfers_per_project>N</max_file_xfers_per_project>. You could set to 1 instead of the default of 2.

It's good to have those old boards...used to have one 8400GS on PCIe! Quite durable card...

But with it's merely 20-40GF it's good for only 2 things:
1. Museum
2. Selling for 10-15€ for someone who needs it...especially if it's without cooler!
& buy something better...like for 30€ you can get GT730 which is about 300GF (in paper)... ;)

Think this may be the first time I've busted through 200k RAC. Amazing what a lack of GUPPI will do ...

. . Hi Klik,

. . I don't go on GFlop numbers but if he were to get the GT730 with the 2GB GDDR5 ram, yes that can do some very good numbers.

Busted 100k RAC this weekend.
Should be fun to see if I can stay over 100k RAC if/when the GUPPI's return.

Just took a quick look, have 2 machines pushing out over 100,000 RAC, and from what I've read, it's because we're Guppi-less for the time being, which explains it. It's fun while it lasts, though!
