I alone know who I sleep with tonight. And who's dreams I shall share.......tomorrow. They shall become you next world. Your next life. OUR next life. For we share it together, you and I, Our paths cross every day. Not a single moment goes by that a couple of us do not cross paths. We are kindred souls. all of us in this generation. And we are all gonna die in the same grave, buried with the same shovel. Yeah, if Carlin did not say it, I did now. I am getting no peace here now, only grief. And if the Lord above thinks that I what I deserve, so be it. I defer to his higher power. Always,. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

When Lori arrived, were you wearing that dress you spoke of earlier? I'm forced to laugh heartily at Mark's behaviour. It's a microcosm of right wing politics. When he became uncomfortable with the notion of his employer and local authorities being called in, he changed the topic. Just as the Trumpster fire has deflected public ire by bringing out that old gem of bathroom use by transgender people, so has Mark Sattler changed the topic with a single statement. Uhh, I was wearing the dress. Lori was quite taken aback. She handed me my keys and the said............... I never knew..................... No, Lori, you never did. I would have wished you never did. I am outed now..........one thing I never thought would come to light. I am a gurly man. I am going to regret coming out for the rest of my life. My sexuality it forever my own. And I wish it could go away or be othjerwise. But it is not, and never shall be. Ever since I met Joan, I knew that certain things were arranged by fate. Not of our own choosing. Life has dealt me a boatload. My father marrying my ex gf was the icing on the cake. My brother jumping off of that bridge? Additional pain. And I hope none of you believes I made those things up. They were real events in my sorry life. Every one of them is true. I suppose I am done here now/ Life is just not what God promised me it would be. You have no forgiveness, no understanding. You give me no hope for tomorrow. nothing to look forward to. I am then, finally done singing my song to you. For none of you wishes to hear anything further about it. Goodbye. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I have lost my grounding. I have lost my soul. I am stranded without any hope. I am gone now. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I said...........going blind. Not there just yet. I can still read your responses/. Being significantly visually impaired myself, I can answer the legal driving limit question. One needs 20/40 corrected vision in at least one eye to legally drive. My left eye is blind from a congenital anomaly and my right eye is near-sighted but corrects to the legal limit. Because of my visual impairment, the DMV makes me take a road test every two years in order to renew my driver's license. Since they are charged with public safety, I completely understand! I haven't failed yet and I have an impeccable driving record, but I do self-limit my driving quite a bit because I am aware of my limitations. I ride the BART train where I can and take Uber places I cannot BART. I wonder less, Mark, about your visual status and more about how your weekends impact your job performance. I know you have repeatedly said that you only drink on the weekends, but how do you feel on Monday mornings? Even if you are sober when you go to work on Monday, are you hung-over and does that impact your job performance? Your weekend posting history often demonstrates that you post hour after hour after hour with very few interruptions on the weekend. At the very least, you must report to work sleep-deprived on Monday mornings. Commenters in this blog are correct. Public posts are public records. Posts do have consequences. |

Life has consequences, ........... Yes.. but can we.. <eek> With your RAC you have access to at least 200+ quad core home style PCs. I don't think for a second you work on or personally maintain emergency vehicles. Though sometimes posts are vehicles for emergencies or perhaps emergent thought. You are crazy though ;) (Consequences are sufferd by all of us.) |

I have reached 28k in Einstein@home with my GTX 1050 Ti on a Windows 10 PC. I am using a GTX 750 on my 64-bit Linux box (vintage 2008) running both SETI@home and SETI@home beta tasks. A 32-bit Linux box with no GPU boards is running CPU tasks in Einstein and SETi. Tullio |

I never speak of my personal problems, which are many. I am 82 years old and living alone. I am quarreling with LHC@home, which used to work on my 3 PCs and now does not. Tullio I am following an online course on gravitation by the Paris Diderot University through Learn, which is owned by the Open University. I have one more lesson to go and am now at a 44/45 test passed score. I hope to finish next Monday and gain a Diploma. |

About eyesight. I am suffering from diplopia (double vision) since 1976. No doctor I have consulted prescribed me any prismatic lens. I drove two years seeing double, in the exam for driving license renewal no doctor saw I was double sighted, they test one eye at a time. It was my optician, not a doctor, to give me plastic press on prisms which helped me but they soon got dirty. It was until 1990 the first time I got eyeglasses with glass prisms glued to the standard lenses, Now I have lenses which are both progressive and prismatic. They cost a good deal of money and they are not provided by the National Health Service. But now I drive very little, since I am a pensioner. I have two pairs of eyeglasses, one made with plastic lenses which I use when bicycling, one with glass lenses which I use for driving a car and watching TV. Tullio |

I think I paid about 800 euros. Remember they also prismatic. I broke the frame, not very stout, but it was covered by insurance and replaced gratis. Tullio |

No, they are not photocromic, only prismatic to correct double vision. But in June I have an appointment with a doctor and if he will prescribe me another pair of lenses I might choose also photocromic. They are made by an Italian firm which also owns Ray Ban as a trademark. Its owner , Leonardo Del Vecchio, has bought a villa in Chamonix which was a 17 century farmhouse. I have slept in it, just in front of the Aiguille du Dru scaled by Walter Bonatti since it belonged to the second husband of my elder brother's first wife. He was a dentist practicing in Chamonix and gained money from Italian patients coming from Aosta Valley, since he was cheaper than Italian dentists. Now Italians go to Slovenia and Hungary to have their teeth cured. Tullio |

OK..........time to clear the air. Because I do not wish this to be considered one of those long term deceptions that have happened here on Seti before. The cat's out of the bag. It was a rather tall tale. I am NOT a crossdresser. I have never worn a woman's clothing in my life. In private or in public. And have no desire to do so. Now, most of you here that know me are aware of the fact that I like to tell a good tale at times. I HAVE experimented with my hair for the last few weeks. Went from my natural brunette to bleached blond, and then last weekend had it dyed to a slightly darker, more golden blond. And I am quite pleased with the change. Not sure if I shall go back to brunette ever again. I like the color, and I enjoy the attention given in the salon when they are working on it. That was an out of the blue decision that I do not regret. Now, this set up something in my mind last weekend when I started to get into my cups, and I started to tell a story about wearing a dress, etc.. In my mind, this was my typical fantasy 'role playing' bit. You all know my tales about being from KPAX and other assorted trips of fantasy. But, as I got into it, I also started to wonder about the reactions I would get. Who would stand by me, who would abandon me, call me names, or worse. It has been rather enlightening. And I also realize that as I am truthful about it, there will probably be another round of comments and reactions. Some will say....."I knew it." Some will think I am trying to cover my tracks and really do traipse around in dresses at home. And some will curse me for telling a bad joke. The truth is, I am your average red blooded male, and have no desires to change that. I do however, at times, identify with the fairer sex more than some men do. I guess I do have a 'feminine side', which I am not ashamed to embrace at times. But I have no desire to be a woman. I could not pass if I wanted to, because I wear a #1 comb length of brunette/mostly gray beard, and that is not going blond or going away. And, as far as my alcoholism goes, yes I have admitted that. But I do NOT go into work impaired. I have been know to take a day of vacation rather than to go into work in a questionable state on a Monday. So, there you have it, the unvarnished truth. I am still just the ol' kittyman, same as I've always been. I hope those that have been around a while and considered me a friend still do so.
