I had, as many others did, the best of drams as some kids do.
My dreams were laid to rest the day I picked up my first bottle.

I does not have to be like that for you younger ones...

Take my advice, and do not lay your hopes and dream to rest in the bottom of the glass...

My life is almost over now, yours is just beginning.
Please do not follow my patkh.......
It has lead to many heartbreakes that is wish you to never have to experience.

I know many paths now that I would never ever take again.
I would, if I could, never take them again.

I cam only impart a few words now.

And why you shall see.
My life is not quite done yet.
I am going to see that it is not wasted just yet.

Kids, I am going blind.
In a few months or years I will have lost my communication with the rest of this world.
The power of magnification given to me by a simple click will no longer be enough.
The gods have been good to me, but my age is a given now.

I must admit my age, and succumb to it.

My last vestage of reality, almost gone/.
I at least still have my indepencence,
Having lived in the same home for almost 40 years, I do know my way around the place,.
Every step, every stumbling block.
I could, and shall continue to work around things for years to come.
Once I can not see well enough to post here any more, my life shall become quite dark.
As you have been my lifeblood for so many years.

I maintain, my friend.
The day I cannot drive myself to work and back is the day that I die...
And I am not supposing that shall be very soon.
My capabilities are somewhat diminished, but not totally gone or going to be a menance to society at large. You are out of line.

I bring some things here that would otherswise not be known.

It that would be me greatest achievement, so bit it.
The world, I think, would be far lesser if I had not been here.
Your opinion may vary.

It is all we want.

Try again.
Just wanna............
Somebody once said to me....................
Geez, you are a beautiful girl.
They did not realize what they said at the time.

The gender.
I AM a beautiful girl. In a man's clothing. And it brings me pain every morning when I awake to know that I must go through another day pretending to be that I am a man.
I am somehow not.
Take me anyway you want, but do I not come across as a girl at times?
It is really hard to cross gender barriers set up for once to cross since birth.
We are taught that here you go, and there you shall not.
Dammit, I can go there. I did so when I was a teenager and went to New York to see Joan Jett.
We kissed and walked and talked.
This song was written since for out travels that day...............
Androgynous.
He might be your father, but he sure ain't your dad.
And tomorrow Dick is wearing a dress.. Androgynous.

It has become so apparent and clear to me that sex, one's identity, is nothing you wear upon your sleeve.
And I, folks, am a girl.

Not since then have I left my land of safety.

I could say much more, but should not.
I love my life.......................really.
And I would not trade it for any other.

I just wish things or people were a bit more understanding of us who live life outside of their little boxen.
Just one day to walk in the sun, kids.
Meow, kitties love the sun.
You should too.

Two years ago, you were almost blind too. Not much of a change eh, after all.
https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=73850&postid=1469000#1469000

But of course, being almost blind, you shouldn't keep your drivers license.
I'm sure your doctor will make sure you don't drive. It would be reckless and dangerous....
If not, and since everyone here knows your name, and where you live, I guess it would be a
service to society if your almost blindness was reported to the police, so that they can make sure that you do not drive a car any longer.

I'm more concerned with his ability to wire a firetruck properly.
Is it a moral responsibility of a citizen to report dangers to the authorities?

We have an admission of the progression of blindness, which he says could occur within a time period of a few months.
Not only does this person drive a car on public roadways, he is also involved at the manufacturing stage of emergency vehicles.

Are we, the untold numbers of citizens viewing this thread, obligated to report to both civil authorities and the company this person is employed by?
Does knowledge of this person's impairment involve those who have read this thread in a liable suit if Mark kills someone while driving or if firetrucks all across North America start failing during emergency situations?

Any lawyers out there willing to offer advice on this situation?

If I were impaired to the point of not being able to do my job properly, no team of lawyers would be needed to ask me to step down. I can see the circuit numbers on the wires.
I can still do my job properly and accurately.
You can go to hell with that post.
That was a sick post, and unwarranted, at best.

And, I can 'almost' say I hate you for that most hurtful post.
Except that I am not given to 'hating' anybody these days.
I would appreciate a retraction.
Not that I suspect you are man enough to offer one.
I have, in the past, retracted or offered apologies to those I have offended.
More than once.

Are you a big enough man to do so now?

Your comfort level is outside the question being asked.
Are citizens, with first hand knowledge of visual impairment growing within another, obliged by law to report that information to civil authorities and to employers who may become the target of lawsuits if emergency vehicles start to fail?

I'd be outraged if an American citizen, having read Mark's admission, were found partially liable by way of NOT reporting.

You are going snowflake on me, and I do not appreciate it at all.
Your head is going way over your asshole's ability to hold it in check.
May I suggest a simple anal checkkup?
Might be some hemoroids giving you such pain.
If not, I suggest you keep your mouth in rein.
Your accusations are far outside of the box.

You're the one admitting that you're going blind in a post here.
Deal with it. Posts have consequences.....
Geeze.....

I said...........going blind. Not there just yet.
I can still read your responses/.
And shall be able to for some time to come.

Mark.
You have very many symtoms of diabetes.
My GF has problems with her eyes and hurting feet perhaps like you have.
She does some regulary checks when doctors control the retina.
It's looks very funny when she are coming back home with extremely large pupils:)

I shall go to sleep tonight not knowing or trusting that I shall awaken in the morning.
The Lord above tells me that I shall. I am not so sure.
Life gets increasingly hard for me these days.
Awaken to the kitties,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,that is my high point of the day. They nuzzle me awake and greet me with kitty kisses. Nothing quite like it.
And then I have to deal with the next 23-1/2 hours.

And as the song goes, I am happy with the way I look.
I am happy with my gender. Mixed as it may be,

I was born with male genitals in a woman's body, if you can understand that.
And I am OK with that arrangement.

It gives me a man's perspecitve on a woman's world.
To all appearances, I am a man.
But I get to understand things other men do not.
Because my inner female has me listening to other things.
And that is a very special thing.
I think some of you should come to terms with YOUR inner kitty.

There is nothing like getting up in the morning knowing that you can be what you are without any hesitation or restrictions.

Since I went blonde, this has never been more apparent.
And I had it dyed this weekend. A most glorious dark brown golden blond.
It worked out very well.
The stylist said it was her most wonderful work in months.
She was afraid I would not like it when we started out.
This was a one girl salon that I picked out at random.
When I got there, nobody in the place. Not even her for about half an hour.
But, there was a snowstorm, and I could not wait. I had my mind made up for hours beforehand.
She asked me if I was sure what I wanted. Seeing my bleached hair and brown root showing, she had to ask.
I must have looked a fright to a hairdresser..............they know things.

I assured her that she could do nothing to frak it up worse.
I am most pleased.

The smiles and the winks...........And I am not being overbearing about it. The gurls just love it. The guys not so much, but they have not much to say, much less try to bully me about it.

I am just finally, at 60yo, expressing my inner kitty.
And no matter what you may say or think about it here, I have never been happier with myself and my recognition of who I am and what I am.

Maybe tomorrow I shall wear a dress.
As the song goes.........I see no damage at all.
'Don't you get it........androgynous.'
I wear the pants that my parents gave me.
It does not mean that they fit me especially well.
They were assigned to me at birth, you see,
Tossed in the air and spanked on my ass, and there you have a fine young boy, after about six seconds of inspection.
And nothing further was suspected for 50 years, when I became to suspect that some things did not quite mesh.
My thoughts about life, which I have expressed here on Seti, were not quite working. Things I were saying did not match what I was thinking. I was at am impasse with MYSELF. And that is a scary thing indeed.

I have not worked it all out yet. May never.

But, at least I have taken a step closer to where I am.

The word 'transgender' is ugly and foreign to me, but I think that is what I am.

What you do not realize is that my pain is real.

And all of your shall; perhaps never understand that.
Not in your lifetime.
You have such a limited ability to grasp the truth that is your life, you shall never see it.
I can, and have.
I am very sad for the rest of you.
I have so much to offer. You only have to accept my gifts.
Only say yes.

Things are getting out of my control,
Lori is driving here now to bring me my keys/
I have never needed anybody to do that.

My keys are my life.

I never give them up to anybody.

What have I done?
