The wind blew out My gas pilot light on My furnace sometime yesterday, I was wondering why the furnace did nothing, so until I can get a multi sparker, I'm out of luck, I tried to relight the furnace pilot light last night, but being windy, it's as the furnace guy said, nearly an impossible task when windy, especially since I can't stand for long before My back starts hurting, so the PC and MY LC 580 will just have to do, the temp this morning got down to 33F . I know the procedure, the furnace just has too much draw right now cause of the wind, wind W @ 15mph, gusts to 34mph last night, now wind W @ 12-16mph, gusts to 23-24mph. The capsbc said I'm due for weatherization to come out in March, I'd put in a request for 3 new windows, 2 doors, and a new gas furnace/ac system, My current furnace is too old for electronic ignition, even as an upgrade, the repair guy said to adapt one would cost as much as a new furnace, and I don't have $2,000.00 laying around. I increased My video card from 657MHz where I normally run My PNY LC 580, to 857MHz, which is the stock speed for this Liquid Cooled card, the air is already feeling warmer(at least last night), gpu temp is at 57C, not bad for a Water Cooled card. Now I have the gas range on at 400F, temp in here was 68F when I got up, now it's 69F. Grace doesn't like being cold, but I've done all that I can. The New Yorker dated 27th Feb 2017. I actually missed the interpretation of the cover for the newest issue. A friend told me it represented the large number of females nominated for the Oscar this year. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Vic... Just like with a lot of things, No I don't, I can't get everything with what I get. And I don't run the gas range when I'm sleeping. And yes the back end of the home where one of the bathrooms is at feels like its near freezing there, brr. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Vic... You need to get one ASAP to protect yourself and Grace. You live in a somewhat confined space (as opposed to a home with much more square footage), have a furnace that tends to be unreliable, and sometimes resort to using an appliance as a heating device. No matter if you don't run the oven whilst sleeping. It is not designed to be used for heating. Carbon monoxide can knock you out before you realize it is happening during the day as well. I have a couple simply because my furnace is very old, and if something would go wrong with the heat exchanger, it could release exhaust fumes into my house. I understand you have to do what you have to do, but please get a detector as soon as you can.......check with your closest fire department. Some have programs to help you buy one or even supply one free of charge. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

The staff may be volunteers, but it is still worth "banging on their door" to see if they can provide a carbon monoxide detector/alarm. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

The staff may be volunteers, but it is still worth "banging on their door" to see if they can provide a carbon monoxide detector/alarm. Going there would be a hardship right now, I have about a quarter of a tank left, I do have a limit to My income, do you and others think I have lots of extra income? If you and others do, have I got news for you, I do not.......................................... I get "Why don't you do this or that", like constantly from you guys... I am not made of money, or is everyone too dense to ack that???? The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

And Vic, you cannot reach the fire department by phone to ask about the alarm? Or perhaps they have a website with email contact? Was it Yermo? I already called, they said since they are a Volunteer Fire Department, they don't have the funds to do so. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
