Vic - Be prepared for an uncomfortable few hours after the "camera stuffing up you waste pipe" - I can assure you it is far from the most pleasant experience, and may involve a general anesthetic if he decides to go beyond the bladder :-(

It sounds as if you have a number of issues, not only with your kidneys but also potentially with your urinary tract and bladder. I really hope they get to the root of your problems.

re:- Your previous note about the chest scan - I guess they were looking to see how much distortion and displacement of your lungs and heart has resulted from your stomach penetrating your diaphragm. The outcome of this scan could well affect how they go about sorting out your other problems.

Does the word "stupid" mean anything. Eight years of data and no backup to replace lost data???

Conduct unbecoming a police force. Well, cops have always been accused of being keystone.

I had a catheter inserted when I was in the Hospital in 2002 for a broken leg, so yeah I know about what to expect, but thanks Rob.

Kidney cysts treatment requires a needle to drain them, and then fill them with some alcohol, to make them harden and scar over, they can make fevers, and , pain, not to mention bleeding in the urine, at least from what WebMD says.

Oh My blood pressure was 130/92, I was told this was ok.

This is a weekly column in "el-reg" The Register... Always a great read / laugh.

I am not often aware of my dreams, but I have been the last three nights/mornings. Strangely, Monday morning I was dreaming partially about my mother riding in my car with me, and Tuesday morning about my father riding in my car. They were not both the same dream, they just had that comment element. Strangely, my mother was in my current car, which she could not have gotten into even if I'd owned it while she was alive. My father was in a previous car, or possibly one I never owned. Today my dreams were less vivid and I don't remember them.

After 19,032 days on the road, legend Ron Hill finally takes a day off
Legendary athlete Ron Hill, who has gone for a run every day for more than 52 years, has finally taken a day off.
The 78-year-old former marathon runner has prided himself on running at least a mile every day.
However the Accrington-born veteran has finally broken his streak which began in December 1964 and lasted an incredible 19,032 days.

Only ill health stopped Dr Hill, who is a former European and Commonwealth marathon champion, from continuing his running streak.
A message on his Facebook page today said: “Due to ill health Ron has decided to take a day off.

“Streak total: 52 years & 39 days

Ron competed at three Olympics - Tokyo in 1964, Mexico in 1968 and Munich in 1972 - before lending his name to a successful sportswear brand which has been a favourite of running enthusiasts for more than 40 years.
By 2004 he had finished 115 marathons, according to British Athletics.
The last of these was in Boston in 1996 and it was the only one where he did not run under two hours, 52 minutes.

What is causing the ice in my plastic ice cube trays to be stuck? It's maddening. I twist and twist, and only a few pop out. I'm about ready to rub butter on them!

Something like Pam would be better, since ice cubes go into drinks...

I doubt silicone spray is meant to go inside a human being Mark...

WD40 is eatable. Mostly fish oil after all. No, really all they need is cleaning with warm water and a little vinegar. Over time, plastic trays build up minerals naturally found in water, such as calcium, which collect in the nooks and crannies of trays. The deposits cling to water molecules in the ice cubes and cause them to shatter rather than come out cleanly. Vinegar will remove any hard water build up. Just a little and warm water is all you need.

LOL, I'm not spraying WD40 on my ice cube trays, that's for sure.

Thank you for the tip about vinegar, though. I never wash the trays. I just fill them up everyday. We do have rather hard water here.

Hi Carlos,

According to the Wiki entry I read, I don't think I'd like to ingest the cocktail that it describes, especially as the manufacturers reccommend the wearing of nitrile gloves for extended use, due to the problems with petroleum products on the skin... :-O

I was kidding about the WD-40. The vinegar and water on the other hand will work.

Curse of the Pasadena Cheesecake Factory: Car crash after bomb target

Is the Pasadena Cheesecake Factory cursed?

Police Sunday were trying to figure out why a car crashed into the same Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Pasadena that was the earlier target of a bearded, black-clad bomb thrower.

For a few minutes I had two almost identical FB friends, he/she tried to reel Me in about USAID(.gov), and that to get help from them I'd only have to PAY UPS some amount to get it, well I knew about USAID(.gov), it's a part of government, government doesn't charge money to get legally entitled benefits, and they don't as far as I've ever known deliver via UPS, and that I already get SSI, USAID I think is for foreign aid(though if I'm wrong, I'm ok with that too), once I mentioned that 'government doesn't charge', the fake friend vanished, so if you get a new friend, and then it looks like someone you already know in a pm, do a friend search...

The new friend could be a scammer...

sinp... so if you get a new (Facebook) friend, and then it looks like someone you already know in a pm, do a friend search...

This is an old con trick that is still widely used. Most people are not that "computer savvy" and go for the click-bait.
Scammers clone Facebook accounts to con your friends

Scammers are cloning Facebook profiles in an attempt to con your friends.
It isn’t a hack and it isn’t identity theft, this is someone taking your public information from Facebook and not scamming you, but scamming your friends.

Facebook cloning is when a scammer takes your profile picture and information and creates an exact copy of your profile, then they send friend requests to your friends.

After your friends approve them, the scammer pretends to be you and may ask for money or send video or web links that contain viruses.
