I've got a problem with SETI@Home v8 8.12 (opencl_nvidia_SoG) workunits: working of those workunits usually stops at about 33%-35% (...and it is not resumed anymore). While standard SETI@Home v8 8.12 workunits are elaborated by my system without crashes/problems. - Version of the BOINC client: 7.6.22 (x64) - Version of the wxWidget: 3.0.1 - Version of SETI@home: SETI@Home v8 8.12 - Version of ORACLE VirtualBox: 5.1.2r108956 - Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 - Graphic Card Driver: GeForce Game Ready Driver Version 368.81 - Version of OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1 - CPU: Intel Core i7 CPU 3.20 GHz - 3450 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU - 8869 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU I would appreciate if someone could give me a hint to resolve this problem, or if can tell me where I can report it in a way that it can be fixed (I think is kinda software bug). Sorry for my bad english, Enrico |

Are you running inside Virtual Box, or are you running in "native Windows" mode? Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Are you running inside Virtual Box, or are you running in "native Windows" mode? I do not completely understand what you mean (probably 'cause of my bad english). Anyway, I presume I'm running inside native Windows :) I installed Virtual Box (which updates automatically) 'cause it is necessary for BOINC installation, but didn't do anything else. Nor it was necessary doing anything else until now. My system always crunched well workunits with previous versions of SETI@Home; the problem appeared with this last release, and only when SETI@Home downloads (opencl_nvidia_SoG) workunits. It seems to me the problem is related to the suspension of elaboration of a workunit by the GPU due to computer activities, and the GPU not resumes properly the elaboration after the suspension. |

I think you have understood my question, so your English is good enough :-) If you are only running SETI@Home then you do not need to use Virtual Box, but some other projects do use it. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
