I decided to test out running solely off my GTX 750 TI. I like it so far, but I am starting to notice some lag just by doing something as simple as typing this out.

Is there a way to adjust the usage limits similar to how you can do with the CPU? I dont have a problem with running it in the background as long as it doesn't affect simple things.

Your lag may actually have to do with competition for CPU resources, not necessarily the GPU.

One option I have used (with the help of process Lasso) is to raise the priority of the (few) applications which seem to suffer GPU BOINC processing induced lag. I remember I needed to help out both Photoshop and my Blu-Ray playback in this way at some point in the past. (I don't currently)

Another option is to use the BOINC preferences item "Suspend GPU computing when computer is in use".

I don't think a GPU usage limit akin to the CPU one would do what you want done.

Hi REN,
Your computer(s) are "hidden" so I can't tell which GPU app your card is using.
If you haven't installed Lunatics and you've been crunching for a while with the GTX 750 Ti card, then you're likely using the NV_SoG app.

Usually there is no lag reported by that GPU unless it is overtaxed by faulty custom setups.
Have you tried the Cuda50 app exclusively for that GPU?
It's available in the Lunatics v0.45 beta3.
The link is at the bottom of the original post.
Fyi, Lunatics is just a small prog that customizes your S@h setup within Boinc to only use the CPU and GPU apps that you want to use (as opposed to the ones that the S@h servr decides your PC will use).

If Cuda50 is not causing any lag after a few days, you can then custumize it even more so that it processes 2 tasks in parallel on that GPU.

There are other ways to reduce the lag but I think it will reduce your contribution of ~7k/day for the GTX 750 Ti...so I'll let others suggest alternatives.

Cheers,
Rob :-)
