Any ideas on how to remove Grease Stains in clothes, I tried Resolve (Spray 'N' Wash), which works on dirty collars(plus I'm almost out of the spray now) and I have 3 new shirts, all are grease stained, and I can't get the grease out... The other 2 shirts have the stain on the body of the shirt.

I tried this 3 times on this shirt... Still stained.

Try Simple Green.
I have used it to clean Chucky Cheese costumes, and it does an excellent job.

Dunno if those will come out, if they've been set in by a couple of washings since.....

Good luck.

It's a long shot, but I've sometimes had success placing absorbent paper behind and on top of the grease stain and then using a very hot iron over the top. If the paper shows signs of having absorbed something, then it's worth repeating with fresh paper. If not - you've just cooked it in good and proper and could perhaps consider some... embroidery there, or a patch... ;)

I'm about to try it on a section of stair carpet that just will not come clean. I think it must be where our cat Diego first rested (on his flight from a kitchen disaster of his making) and before I caught him slipping madly in the bath. It would have given him a good vantage point... of me picking my way through the debris his jumping in a roasting pan, surfing it along the kitchen surface, slaying a jar of mayonnaise - all whilst absorbing most of its cold oils into all of his fur apart from a bit between his ears.

oh...and did we say we like humans too? Well we do :)

Oh, my....sounds like quite the kitty adventure. Might be a bit more humorous if it did not make such a mess for you.

As to Vic, he said he already had tried Spray and Wash several times, so I am sure further setting things in with a hot iron would not assist in the matter.

No worries here, but then I don't have an ironing board or an iron.

Though for stains a Cat might leave, I recommend some paper towels and Woolite Carpet Cleaner, It does work.

That Woolite is what Lori uses to clean up kitty messes on her carpets. And with 4 cats, there is always a furball coughed up here and there...LOL.

I have a slightly different challenge:

How do you get out the orange stain created by sun block on a white shirt? I've tried multiple pre-treatments and repeated bleaching, to no apparent effect.

Our baby crib came with a small oil stain on the outside (not annoying enough to go through the hassle of returning) so I went on a Google binge...

Most common answer for a stain like that was, drumroll:

WD-40 :)

Seriously. Something about "re-oiling" the oily stain. Makes sense I guess.

Unfortunately I can't give it a shot because whatever you do it on, has to go in the washing machine but the fabric on that part of the crib isn't detachable.

Anyway, if anyone DOES give it a go, make sure to try first on a part of the clothing that isn't visible!

I can easily imagine a scenario where the WD-40 makes things worse rather than better :P

Well even though I liked the answers here, someone here got Me a big spray bottle of Spray n Wash from Walmart, not the Resolve stuff that I had used, that says it used to be 'spray n wash', all cause I have a car. Maybe on Wednesday I'll wash My colorful clothing, and then wash the shirt again and again, since I have very hard water here. I did manage to install a section of pipe insulation on an exposed water pipe that was needing new insulation in one spot, which made FREE hot water on the cold side, this morning before the air got too hot outside, see the weather thread for more, there is a pic there.

Ok I washed My colored clothes, 3 times, the water has a hardness of 11 here, I used the new bottle on the Yellow/Orange shirt, put the clothes in the clothes dryer, and yep the shirt is clean.

I didn't know original Spray n Wash was still available. I'd like to try it.

Glad it worked for you! :~)

Thanks Gordon, yeah, Walmart seems to have the right stuff, or a supplier does.
I'll take a picture later, the camera phone is charging right now.

Sounds like a college student that has to use the 'sniff test' to choose what shirt to wear out of the hamper.
