For fun I suppose; haven't been on Seti for a few years, so I might as well make myself known here more so than on WCG :) Also, excuse if this isn't where this should go. 1. Judas Priest 2. Kiss 3. Meat Loaf 4. Godsmack 5. Iron Maiden 6. Helloween What are yours? |

Not real sure how I could answer this question. Shall have to ponder. Since my life before Seti revolved around music, my list might have to be hundreds long to give all of those artists proper credit. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Pete Segar Bob Dylan Peter, Paul, And Mary And the first song that got me hooked on AM radio. Was the guy who did the Monster Mash. I was a young lad when I first heard that song. [/quote] Old James |

Hard to select from so many I grew up with at the birth of rock and roll, motown and then the folk music era. 1. Joan Baez 2. Roy Orbison 3. Tina Turner (with Ike early on) Back in the very late 60's I went to Joan Baez's concert at Assembly Hall on the University of Illinois Campus. She came on stage barefoot in a yellow peasant dress--she was the sexiest persona I have ever seen. Her voice rang out clear as a bell. Earlier, I had attended a choir practice at the Navy Base in New London, Connecticut with my then girlfriend and her mother--the Chaplin there was Chaplin Baez who claimed to be closely related to Joan. Roy Orbison died in 1988, the year I moved my family to Nashville Tennessee--"Music City" The entire community mourned his passing. I drove onto the beach house property where we held our 40th high school reunion on Isle of Palms South Carolina with his album blaring from my car's ten speakers. I remember Ike and Tina Turner as they always seemed to be on the radio when I would lift weights in the basement after dinner in our Washington DC-Area home. Music marks the passage and events as we journey through life--it cements memories in all of us. |

This is such a tough question to answer for me, but if I have to narrow it down to three artists whose entire body of work has affected me the most in my life, I would say, Pink Floyd, Simple Minds, and Tori Amos. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Not possible, depends on mood. It's like rating your favourite food and perhaps wine that also depends on mood. Never the less. 1. Frank Zappa 2. Pink Floyd 3. Dixie Dregs |

Heavy Metal: Ozzy Osbourne Metallica (Black album and earlier only) System of a Down Hard rock: Guns n' Roses AC/DC Motley Crue Pop rock: Billy Joel Old school Jon Bon Jovi Alternative rock: Nirvana REM Live "Golden oldies": Buddy Holly Elvis Presley I could further break it down by decade & genre, but I think that highlights some of my broad tastes. |
