It seems the Franco-German alliance is Kaputt.

The High Priestess of the Eurozone stood at the altar arms spread, & instead of saying "I absolve you of your sins" said "Willkommen".

Meanwhile in France, Well...

With comments like that I'm sure after the French elections he will be more than welcome at Trump Tower. They can have cozy chats about why they lost.

Osbourne admits he didn't have a clue. George Osborne admits Brexit 'mistakes' and says he is trying to put them right

George Osborne has told how he has been trying to come to terms with "mistakes" he made in office, in particular the Brexit vote.

The ex-Chancellor said the British public’s decision to quit the European Union was an expression of an anger against the establishment that he admitted he had not properly understood.

Brexit will be Titanic success, says Boris Johnson
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/nov/03/brexit-will-be-titanic-success-says-boris-johnson
Well, Boris is a funny man:)

Ukip’s Nigel Farage also took to the stage to collect his lifetime achievement award, described by Nelson as “the Marmite politician of our age – and that’s quite some compliment, seeing how expensive Marmite is nowadays”.

Brexit court defeat for UK government

Pound jumps in wake of Brexit ruling

Defeat for government or victory for parliamentary democracy?

The former attorney general Dominic Grieve also expressed alarm at the attacks on the judiciary. He said: “They are entirely unjustified and are either made in ignorance or out of malice, it’s impossible to know which.

“The judges are the safeguarders of our unwritten constitution. Nothing they have done ought to take anybody by surprise. To accede to the principle that you can change primary legislation by royal prerogative is a constitutional monstrosity and would totally undermine everything that our forebears struggled to give us. It would trash the constitution.

“There seems to be a paranoid hysteria around that this is being done [to reverse] the referendum. But it’s simply that there has to be a process followed if parliament is to give effect to and express the wish of the electorate.”

and:

Lord Macdonald of River Glaven QC, the former director of public prosecutions, said: “These are risible and constitutionally illiterate attacks from politicians who should know better. The high court has reaffirmed the sovereignty of parliament within the rule of law. In other words, it has fulfilled precisely its most critical function in a democratic society. The idea that judges would be better employed kowtowing to the executive is shameful heresy from political pygmies.”

(source emphasis added)
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

The main reason for Brexit & Trump's Brexit Plus Plus Plus.

"My mom is a widowed grandmother and former school bus driver who knows nothing about politics. Her son is a conservative pundit who writes about politics and culture for a Washington magazine. And yet - and yet! - the little old lady from the middle of nowhere got it right. For better or for worse, plain people like her just changed the history of the world."

Well there are 2 names that will go into political history - Nigel Farage & Donald Trump.

Thanks guys :-)

"Donald Trump's much-touted boast that he would deliver "Brexit plus plus plus" on election day rings shrilly true in the ears of Europe's political elite this morning.

Britain was much appreciated in EU circles, yes, but it was also always regarded as a reluctant European, a rule-breaker, an outsider.

But the deafeningly angry roar of millions of anti-establishment, nationalist-minded US citizens suddenly makes the prospect of a French President Marine Le Pen, an Italian premier Beppe Grillo and a Dutch Prime Minister Geert Wilders that much more plausible.

On Wednesday former Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta, a man rarely associated with hyperbole, described the US vote as the biggest political rupture since then.

He and other notable European figures insist Mr Trump's victory is a wake-up call for Europe."

You know what pisses me off?

Angela Merkel was the one who got the "racist" ball rolling in the Western World and no-one even noticed.

"Noooooo! How could a "progressive" be racist? Does not compute!"

Well she did. She started it. You just weren't paying attention Mr. & Mrs. Liberal.

(It got so bad that even "respectable" newspapers thought it was OK to call whole countries PIGS.)

You snooze, you lose.
Hail Trump :)

Food for thought?

With some major elections occurring throughout Europe next year, will the same happen there?

If they do, will the world be travelling back in time to 1918-33?

Or before. It is not "travelling back in time". Just the normal and historical End of an Era.
PAX Americana, as PAX Romana, is coming to an end.
BTW: Throughout History. People living is a successful and relatively peaceful era. Have believed it will last, and possibly improved. They have always been mistaken.

Perhaps Pax Scandia is coming to an end as well:)

It seems that Brexit + + + will actually happen unlike Brexit...

HoP to be renamed EC/EP

... Bleeding Heart Liberals just won't learn.

Comment 2049 from the article says it all!

"we live in a democracy, brexit won, trump won.

if you need the ideal of a non democracy please go to the middle east."

It is their belief, that they have a Right to Rule the Stupid and Ignorant People.

That maybe, but just look what that mass of "stupid & ignorant people" have done in just 2 days - 23/6 & 8/11/16.

Still say people are stupid & ignorant? Just remember, you are not a member of the ruling class, so...

That ol man river... he keeps rolling along

The Greeks have a saying that goes something like:
"Whenever something really bad happens, at least some good will come out too."
(IOW, there's always a silver lining)

Well one silver lining I see - one I find SUPREMELY important - is that the mainstream media appear to have awoken from their slumber as if by a flick of the switch!

I've read at least 5 articles in the MSM with common sense, attitude, brains, self-evaluation, and conviction since Trump got elected.

5 may not sound a lot, but you guys wanna know how many articles like these I've read since I first stumbled into this forum? I wanna say zero.

And no, this isn't one of the times where I'm exaggerating to prove a point.

It appears Trump poked the mainstream media giant.

Yay!

(And a big Huzzah for the Leprechauns!)

LOL.

No, not poked...

Internet & Technology placed the explosives
Farage wired up the detonator
Trump hit the plunger.

As seen this year, experts, media, pollsters were made to look like fools relying on outdated ideas.

Now all that is left is for the bureaucrats & politicians waking up & realising that unlike previous centuries this is the 21st & the "stupid & ignorant people" are less stupid & ignorant.

So far, it seems they can't handle that fact!

Why Brexit Is Good For Working People In Clear, Simple Terms

- - - - - -

If anything, this guy isn't taking his thinking far enough. He's essentially saying the Euro is ok for Germany but personally I'm starting to have my doubts.

Oh, and:
30.000 VW workers fired? Because the head honchos are batsh*t crazy?

It'll be really funny if the Germans raise their pitchforks before the Greeks do :)
