http://www.zdnet.com/article/say-hello-to-the-worlds-first-1000-core-chip-that-runs-off-an-aa-battery/ Cruwl thing, but where can we will get that, have it disc or something else, never a x86 architecture i think. Greets, just spreding the news ;) http://vcl.ece.ucdavis.edu/pubs/2016.06.vlsi.symp.kiloCore/2016.vlsi.symp.kiloCore.pdf Here a whitepaper !? Could not tell much about it, but any anyone explain it futher ? Which architecture will be used, or what means this "up to" 1.78 Trillion Ops/second ? |

It is not x86 but something completely different. As for what 1.7 trillion Ops/Second means, consider that the fastest Intel Core i7 the 5960X can perform 238,310 MIPS (million ops per second) at 3.0 GHz, or about 14% of the new kilo core chip. Don't expect to see it on sale anytime soon. Based on what I am reading about it, thing embedded processor for a self driving tank or drone. But something like it will be coming soon. |
