As the title says, i want to see what drivers are working with this cards and what versions also work with Seti.

So any input would be appreciated.

From what I've been able to find, 368.25 is the first official driver released for the GTX 10xx series. And it appears to be the only driver presently available for that series.

Plus, they have released a new version of Precision X 16 for the new hardware too. The last version was released in 2013, so it's about time for a new version. Not sure if it is a 64 bit version or not, but I hope so, and if not, I hope they are working on one and will release it soon.

We use the GTX 1080 with the driver 368.25
It works fine, but I did expected a higher performance. Perhaps with a newer BOINC client we can have a higher output.
The temperature is ~ 70°C in 24/7 use.
Keep on crunching!

The version of BOINC has very little affect on the processing speed - all it does is manage the interface between the servers and the clients, plus the local sequencing.

It is quite probable that there will have to be a chunk of optimisation of the applications required to get the best out of the GTX10xx GPUs, and I would expect to hear some muttering from the likes of Jason in the near future.

That new Precision X requires your name, email and SN of the card to install, lol

Wow, really? I knew a few versions ago you had to register for the EVGA site, and have to login before you could get to the link to download it, but I didn't know they took it that far where you have to have all that to just _install_ it... WTH EVGA??

Having to register and log in makes it so much easier for "big bro" to keep his eye on you and they can "improve the user experience" if you belive what they say ;-)

Yeah, I kinda figured that, I suppose you have to give something up to download it, but to Install it? That's a bridge too far in my mind.

I get the file from (no need for any name, email, etc.):
http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/evga_precision.html

On the page you can see this "funny" comment:
"Editor's Note:
Wow, what a nightmare to download.
Register with them asking for your email, address and phone number, confirm your email, answer a survey.
That sucks but we did it all for you so you don't have to.
Enjoy!
"

The file is:
EVGA_PrecisionX_16_Setup_v5.3.11.zip
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/8409bf60e09e6935fefb7a68737f1f246c3039f0ea573582ab6f85b086197eef/analysis/

... and inside of the .zip is:
EVGA_PrecisionX_16_Setup.exe (28 682 104 bytes) 12.04.2016
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/0cbbcd8703681829ed2ebee2a405ed32777c2c342892ffd0b743ddee69fd1c7e/analysis/

I tested installing it on Windows XP - again no need for any name, email, etc.

(The installed PrecisionX.exe can't start on Windows XP but that is another/different issue:
D:\Program Files\EVGA\PrecisionX 16\PrecisionX.exe is not a valid Win32 application.
)

Good to know, thanks! And, it appears that it is finally a 64 bit application? Or is this just an error due to it being XP? I've had it downloaded - but not installed - since last week, too many other kettles in the fire right now, and wanted to get some feedback before installing it, so it's good to hear that it isn't requiring all that info and funny business when the program is installed. For those of you using it, how has it worked out for you?
