Also please check this one : What makes this one different to the one supplied with lunatics 0.45 beta? The lunatics one "hangs" on some tasks, the above does not. |

BTW. How is determined, if a card is low-performance? Mine is , by any means, a mid range card. A GT 720M is one of the lower of the low end. Equivalent of 1 CU. Grant Darwin NT |

I find it interesting, that you point that out. We all know, you have the greatest high-end-cards. Congratulations! |

Hi all...the "compute units" affair it's very "strange". This is my Core i7 with its internal gpu HD4000 enabled OpenCL Platform Name: Intel(R) OpenCL Number of devices: 1 Max compute units: 16 Max work group size: 512 Max clock frequency: 1100Mhz Max memory allocation: 367001600 Cache type: Read/Write Cache line size: 64 Cache size: 2097152 Global memory size: 1468006400 Constant buffer size: 65536 Max number of constant args: 8 Local memory type: Scratchpad Local memory size: 65536 Queue properties: Out-of-Order: No Name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 Vendor: Intel(R) Corporation Driver version: 10.18.10.4425 Version: OpenCL 1.2 Max. compute units (under sort of OpenCL device scission https://www.khronos.org/registry/cl/sdk/1.0/docs/man/xhtml/clGetDeviceInfo.html And this is my nVidia GTX 660M in an Asus G75VW OpenCL Platform Name: NVIDIA CUDA Number of devices: 1 Max compute units: 2 Max work group size: 1024 Max clock frequency: 950Mhz Max memory allocation: 536870912 Cache type: Read/Write Cache line size: 128 Cache size: 32768 Global memory size: 2147483648 Constant buffer size: 65536 Max number of constant args: 9 Local memory type: Scratchpad Local memory size: 49152 Queue properties: Out-of-Order: Yes Name: GeForce GTX 660M Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Driver version: 364.51 Version: OpenCL 1.2 CUDA Extensions: cl_khr_global_int32_base_atomics cl_khr_global_int32_extended_atomics cl_khr_local_int32_base_atomics cl_khr_local_int32_extended_atomics cl_khr_fp64 cl_khr_byte_addressable_store cl_khr_icd cl_khr_gl_sharing cl_nv_compiler_options cl_nv_device_attribute_query cl_nv_pragma_unroll cl_nv_d3d10_sharing cl_khr_d3d10_sharing cl_nv_d3d11_sharing cl_nv_copy_opts Max. compute units: 2. The raw power of GTX 660M with its GDDR5 memory is by far more higher than an Intel HD4000 with its DDR3 memory. Marco. |

It's not the universal identical entity between GPU vendors. |
