Greetings Anybody out there who has upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS managed to get their card and boinc working together. FGLRX support no longer supported in that version. Regards |

I've just succeeded in installing a Sapphire HD 7770 on my Linux box running SuSE Linux Leap 42.1. I downloaded the driver from SuSE, after failing an installation getting the driver from AMD. It is now running SETI@home GPU tasks and it will be interesting to compare it with the Geforge GTX 750 TI OC on my newer and faster Windows 10 PC. This Linux host is a 2008 vintage SUN workstation with a 1.8 GHz Opteron 1210, two cores, while the Windows PC sports a 3.7 GHz A10-6700 with 4 cores. Tullio |
