I went through a computer meltdown and ever since the rebuild it seems the RAC is not matching up with the GPU power I have. 2 machines, AMD 8350CPU 16GB 3X 750ti cards http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7147946 AMD X6CPU 32GB 1x TitanX, 1x 980, 1x 780 classy http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7917150 The RAC on the 750ti's is about normal but the titanX machine is lagging hard. Can anyone look at the output files and see what I might have overlooked? I would really appreciate it! All the best, Aaron Lephart Techvelocity.com |

I should have reread the title. It's not that the RAC is so different right now, but that it SHOULD be! |

see http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=hostbycpid&cpid=311e83fe46e6c6ae2d92e1d3d037110e and http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=hostbycpid&cpid=4c4c2c2ab5e7217bdfff066e2970f4ef Scroll both of them down. The titan gets 54000 a day. It is a new machine and its RAC is still climbing. see http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=hostbycpid&cpid=311e83fe46e6c6ae2d92e1d3d037110e Thee stats say nothing about what GPUs are on these machines, so far as I can see...what am I missing? |

DC stats don't report the GPU type. However if you look at the two sets of data you will see that for one the daily data is fairly constant, while the other shows a very substantial jump about a week ago. This is probably when the Titan-X came on line. It takes between three and four weeks for the RAC to catch up with events like that, and about the same again to fully reflect the change. As I have said before.... RAC....it rises like a feather, it falls like a brick. Meow. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

see http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=hostbycpid&cpid=311e83fe46e6c6ae2d92e1d3d037110e You can get to the Free-DC statistics from here : http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php?userid=24185 It lists your computers and on the left there are two links to statistics, the other is Boinc stats. And to see user GTP's computers statistics go through his computers. As I have said before.... Mark, so true. Left the network cable out of the main cruncher for about 20 hours, RAC dropped like 3k or so. Sheesh! |
