something i notice when setting up my windows 7 test box. it sit accross the room and normally RDP into it. when i do it changes to window basic and turns off the video card. Seti@home will not start GPU job if i am rdp into.I can start Boinc and seti@home if i am sitting in front of it. after the jobs started i went and rdp into the test box and as soon as i logged in the gpu went to 0 on load and Boinc said it can not find the gpu.

anyway around this?

I am using Microsoft Windows 7
Ultimate x64 Edition, Service Pack 1, (06.01.7601.00).

Remote Desktop uses its own driver, one that works on all videocards, so it lacks exotic stuff as CUDA, OpenCL, OpenGL etc.

There are other programs on the market that use the driver installed by the user instead. Think of various versions of VNC. You should be able to find a free one.

TightVNC is a great program, and muti-platform.

UltraVNC is another good choice. I've been using it for years.

Greetings All

For my windows network, (3 crunchers in different rooms), I use Splashtop, which is free for personal use and is quite reliable.

Regards
