I remember it very well...
The coldest day in Chicago history was January 20, 1985. It was 27 degrees below zero that day.

0.01" of rain today, so far the weather report says sunny and clear for Here where I live at.

But then I don't live even close to the Bay area, I'm over 100 miles from there, down south in the High Desert.

I see that a while ago, Oh it's still raining alright but seemed to split up a bit some going more north and to you.

Heavy rain at times but mostly slow and steady.

Rain fall right now is 48.78 inches for the season, my guess was 50 but looks I'm going to get beat out very soon.

4 foot a rain here is unheard of around these parts in the first place. LOL

I'm ready for some sunny days folks. LOL

I'M Selling ARK tickets if it gets to 5 feet. LOL

My sister lives in Texas and was saying they are pretty dry down there, I was thinking with all those storms they have had it would be plenty wet enough. But she said no it's not that way.

One problem when very heavy rain lands on very dry soil is that the rain doesn't soak in it just runs off taking large quantities of top soil with it.

Well the rain is about out of there until next Saturday which we have at least
a 3 day storm out there.

Right now as of 8 PM we stand at 50.20 inches of rain for the season, my grandmother wasn't much taller than that. LOL

Our flash flood is still up yet but should go down by morning.

It will be nice to see some sunshine and I can get out and do some shopping.

A bear called Francesco has awakened from lethargy in the Alpi Carniche, Friuli, because a hot February after a cold January. Temperature has risen to 17 C. He has a radio collar, so they can keep watch on him. He will descend in search of food and beehives, causing problems to the mountain people.

I bet we will see a lot of that this year, my sister was saying yesterday that even the ducks and Robbins didn't even go that far south this year around her.

We had a nice sunny day here which was nice for a change.

Might hit 80 here, Friday, which would be an all-time record this early in the year.
