Rain is here, 80% chance, weather station is partly offline(temps & wind). Radar is up, and it's half full of rain echos.

MAY-LIKE TEMPERATURES ON SATURDAY; FEBRUARY WEATHER RETURNS ON SUNDAY-TUESDAY
Saturday will be a very unusual February day across Texas with record high temperatures in the forecast. Northwest Texas, the Big Country, western North Texas, the Permian Basin, and South Texas are all forecast to reach the 90s on Saturday. It is not out of the question that we see a few middle to upper 90s across the Permian Basin into Northwest Texas. Not only are we going to see several new record highs tomorrow afternoon, but some spots may actually approach their all-time record high for the month of February. The Texas Panhandle, Borderland, Central Texas, Northeast Texas, East Texas, and Southeast Texas will range from the upper 70s to the middle 80s. Low relative humidity values and dormant fuels will promote very high to critical fire danger – especially where we see upper 80s and 90s. Saturday will feel more like a June day versus February.

0.05" of rain has fallen here, the Temp and Wind speed is still offline, maybe tomorrow, yeah I reported the station being offline.

Madame Pele is sending CA a gift of DHMO, lots of it. So much so that the Oroville emergency spill way needs repairs, but then the emergency spillway had never been used before. Lake Oroville max depth is 901'.

LA Times wrote:
Residents of Oroville and nearby towns were ordered to immediately evacuate on Sunday afternoon after a “hazardous situation” developed involving an emergency spillway at the Oroville Dam.

The National Weather Service said the auxiliary spillway at the Oroville Dam was expected to fail by 5:45 p.m., which could send an “uncontrolled release of flood waters from Lake Oroville.”

Those in Oroville were asked to flee northward toward Chico. In Yuba County, those in the valley areas were urged to take routes to the east, south, or west.

“This is not a Drill. This is not a Drill. Repeat this is not a drill,” the National Weather Service said. Authorities urged residents to contact neighbors and family members and reach out to the elderly and assist them in evacuating.

I read the main spillway can handle water flows up to 250,000cfs, the rate is set at 100,000cfs(cubic feet second).

As of 7 p.m., Lake Oroville is 100.1 percent of capacity, and the water level is dropping about one-third of a foot per hour.

"The lower it gets the less pressure there will be," KCRA meteorologist Mark Finan said.

The Colusa Unified School District is cancelling school for Monday. While Colusa may not be directly in danger, the schools will be closed "out of an abundance of caution," Superintendent Dwayne Newman said.
