Doesn't look like anything more until next Wed., we can use a break.

Got some photo's of the river today
and it's down about 6 feet. we was in a flood stage for about 24 hours or more.

The Mojave River at this point is an underground river, though this wasn't always the case, so the river sand is just damp below the narrows from the rain.

Weather's not looking pretty in kittyland later today...........
Some light snow, followed by snow/rain/sleet mix, then freezing rain.
With the freezing rain continuing into tomorrow.
Gonna get a little tricky coming home from work tonight.

After than, we do get an unseasonable warming trend, with temps into the low 40's Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before returning to normal mid twenties for highs. So a lot of the mess will melt by the end of the week.

Now if I can just safely pilot Toothless through this mess tonight and tomorrow...............
I'm going to leave the driver's door slightly ajar tonight, because a week or so ago when we had this freezing rain crap, it took me twenty minutes to pry the frozen door open at 1AM with my pocket knife.

As predicted, freezing rain this morning became just rain when the temperature rose.

It will more or less continue to rise all week to 50ish F this weekend.

Long term outlook is for winter in February.

Was a bit tricky getting home from work at 1AM last night.
Freezing rain, and ice on the roads.
Saw two wrecks on I-41 as I made my way............slowly.
Temps were a little above freezing all night.
Hope it is a bit better going in to work in a few hours.

48ºF right now with 2.27" of rain so far today.

Almost 13.47" for the month so far. The drought is just about over, if this keeps up it will be.

That should refill the Russian River to the top again.

No Sun anytime soon...

Grant it will take years if ever to refill the aquifers in California.

That one I know and if ever using more than we get is the problem.

This will help filling the dams a lot but the next thing is the fire season this summer. The under growth will be heavy.

Grant you seem to understand the problem, it is too bad the state is unwilling to do something about it as is mine.

Clouds are more "stubborn" than expected today, therefore temp is lower.

Nevertheless, ~55F is predicted for Saturday, ~50 Sunday, 40s all next week.

Rain predicted here for 4 days, but at this altitude, snow is just not possible at the moment, the conditions don't support snow here, it's too warm.
