We had our first snow last night, of a whopping 1.5 to 2 inches. The roads were icy, and several cars either went off the road or rolled over. I love my studded snow tires and 4 wheel drive! Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

Funny most states won't let you drive on studded tires. I had them once before they outlawed them and I liked them. |

Funny most states won't let you drive on studded tires.Wisconsin banned their use MANY years ago to save wear and tear on the road surfaces. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

In New Hampshire, studded snow tires are legal year round. In some states, you can only use them in certain months. They make a slippery drive much safer. Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

Oh I agree, on that ice it's nice to have better control New York state had them on police cars also and they loved it but then they put the lid on that one. (That was about 40 years ago plus now) Here if you go over the mountains here you have to use chains when the weather gets bad or they will turn you around and send you home. |
