That 2.39" would be a flood here, probably a flash flood.

Well down into the 20 F the last couple of mornings. Rain Tuesday night into Wednesday. Not snow, though.

We had our first snow last night, of a whopping 1.5 to 2 inches. The roads were icy, and several cars either went off the road or rolled over. I love my studded snow tires and 4 wheel drive!

Funny most states won't let you drive on studded tires.

I had them once before they outlawed them and I liked them.

Funny most states won't let you drive on studded tires.
Wisconsin banned their use MANY years ago to save wear and tear on the road surfaces.

In New Hampshire, studded snow tires are legal year round. In some states, you can only use them in certain months. They make a slippery drive much safer.

Oh I agree, on that ice it's nice to have better control

New York state had them on police cars also and they loved it but then they put the lid on that one. (That was about 40 years ago plus now)

Here if you go over the mountains here you have to use chains when the weather gets bad or they will turn you around and send you home.
