Supposed to be another round of storms tonight, and then cooler and less humid for a few days. Maybe I'll finally change my brake light. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

August is ending with a bang here. So far this afternoon, a lingering thunderstorm has added 1.68 inches to my rain gauge's total for the month, bringing it to 7.55. The funny thing is we really haven't had any very serious weather since I installed my backyard system a year ago, but it's nice to see the rainfall totals accumulate. We have a couple new trees and bushes and the natural water suits me a lot better than going out there with the hose. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

No rain for a few days. Temps in the 70s F starting yesterday, but rising a bit every day to 85 on Monday and near 90 Tuesday, when we might next see some rain. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Here it's in the high 90's, no rain here, though the radar did show some in Arizona next door. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Last couple of days were probably the last hurrah this year for people who like 90s and humid. On and off rain last night through Saturday morning, with temps trending downward to highs in the 70s F this weekend. I may need my jacket on tailhose. Which reminds me: I want to order a waterproof jacket in my size. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

We've got quite a thunderboomer going on here. Picked up .60 inches in ten minutes, so far. Of course, I was using the hose, watering, when it started raining! The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Tue and Wed are predicted to be in the 80F's, after that 90F's, for this week at least, so temps are going down, I just hope I can get My gas furnace fixed on Nov 1st, My car's blower is not working right, probably a result of some tubing that has gone bad, vacuum tubing that is, I hope to get that fixed in Oct, since that is affecting the whole car, idle and running now, in gear or not. Had on and off rain Saturday morning, and then another good shower about 6. Sunny all day Sunday. Supposed to have rain tomorrow evening again. After that, 70s F at least through Friday. Wednesday sounds like a good day to mow the yard. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |
