Message 1806016 - Posted: 31 Jul 2016, 7:09:20 UTC - in response to Message 1805961.

Temp 86F inside, outside? 101.5F(feels like 99F), yesterday the temp was 114.1F(3rd day at or above 114F), I can feel the heat thru the floor here, it should be insulated, but I bought the place used, and I could never find anyone to reinsulate the bottom of My mobile home.

I couldn't take it.
It was 80°F in Minnesota today and, I was too hot.
I should move to Iceland.

The humidity is very low here, 33% at the moment, current temp is 94.8F, predicted high of 106F, the humidity goes down as the temps go up, higher humidity here means a thunderstorm or rain is nearby. Humidity on days with 114F is usually around 6-8%. Outside you won't feel much, outside of heat from the sun, sweating you won't feel until you get inside in a cooler place, then find something to wipe your skin off or if at home, if the water is cool, take a shower to cool off with, here the water is warm, so a towel is advised, but then My mobile home water pipes are not insulated.

... unlike where I was last week, as the temperature rose, so the humidity went up. On landing it was "only" 36C and 93%, rising to 39C and >98%, then dropping to 33C and 75%

Deserts, even in Antarctica are typically dry, though sometimes the area does get humid here, the monsoon season and winter sometimes will bring snow, the humidity does not last long though.

I have competing primary problems here: My house(furnace and window), car, and Me...

Less important: Grace(water dish, needs to be active, instead of sitting there as a dust collector), PC, 2nd set door locks keyed to match 1st set, house hunt, TV, solar(photovoltaic), aquarium, fixing a wooden drawer glide(cost $0.00, have clamps and carpenters glue, just no energy, drawer is part of an antique set of chest of drawers, almost matched, earthquake damaged)...

Those are what comes to mind at the moment, always something, this morning My OS said the Key was not legit anymore, called MS support, got that fixed, didn't cost Me anything, just time on the phone... Now it's a genuine key again, at least until MS says it ain't anymore... Heck they issued this one, and for FREE too, still on Win 7 Pro x64, the next 2 PC's might go Linux or as someone here did, Apple Sauce OS. LOL

It's starting to rain. Our backyard is at 5.56 inches for the month. Maybe we can hit 6!

This area would be lucky to get 0.56 inches, good luck Gordon.

In the highlands down under we kicked off the 1st day of the last month of winter here at a frosty -2C (felt like -4C), though it's warming up fast, already 11C (feels like 9C) and very nice out in the sun, as we head for an expected max of 18C.

Rain is expected here tomorrow.

Cheers.

Not upsetting today to see some cooler weather that's down to 80ºF, It was toasty last week here but nothing like Phoenix has. After living there for 6 years I'll never return standing up in my lifetime. :))

I don't think we're going to quite make it to 6, but it's been a nice rainy month, all things considered. I've heard an inch a week is good enough for existing shrubs and trees. We just have a couple newer trees that I've been worried about and I water them every few days regardless of the actual rainfall.

Watch out down there, or your place may start to resemble the partly sunken continent of Zealandia.

They're telling us to expect 10-20mm tomorrow and 5-10mm the day after. :-(

Had some rain Thursday, with enough lingering humidity that on Friday morning it seemed like it had just stopped, which is what caused me to slip.

Friday it started to rain at the museum just as we finished up. Briefly had a rainbow coming home.

Nothing over the weekend, and the humidity was almost low enough for me to be comfortable. Next rain will be tomorrow night. Temps going back into the 90s F during the week, but low 80s again for the weekend.

Raining cats and dogs @ 14°C. Good weather to fill the cistern but not good for the solar panels.

We had a very unusual chain of thunderstorms go through here overnight leaving behind 12mm and this morning the whole area is blanketed in fog.

We started off at 8C (felt like 6C) and expecting a max of 10C here today with more rain.

So much for our dry season. :-(

Cheers.
