I installed the latest Nvidia driver and Bonic Manager. I get "no gpu found" Maybe try backing off to a slightly older driver and reinstall it. Could be a problem with the latest version. The latest version of Boinc was released in December, so I would not suspect any problem with it. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I had a similar problem today when changing my cpu from i7-4820K to E5-2670. For some reason, installing a new cpu caused win 7 to drop the drivers for my GPUs and I had to wait while Windows reinstalled the graphics drivers, which it did. Then rebooting worked - BOINC found the cards... Try rebooting and see what happens, then try reinstalling the graphics drivers. Also, I don't know what cards you have, but the latest (since about 340.00) NVIDIA drivers do not support the older (per-Fermi) cards any longer. |

Thank you. I will just not run cuda anymore. Never really got much done with them or SETI KenW |

Thank you. I will just not run cuda anymore. Never really got much done with them or SETI Ken..... Why ask for help if you are not even willing to at least try a simple thing like installing an older driver? Folks here ARE willing to try to help you. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Because I spent enough time trying to track the problem down and gpu work units don't really add much to my total. Been doing seti for a long time, on and off and not even at 500k. I ran Einstein for less time and over 2 million. KenW |

Also tired of having to move desktop icons around since I totally clean out Nvidia drivers. Windows 10 is another reason. KenW |

Because I spent enough time trying to track the problem down and gpuYour choice. This project is not about accumulating credits, my friend. If that's what you are after, Seti ain't your project. Have fun at Einstein then. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Because I spent enough time trying to track the problem down and gpuYour choice. Yeah the credits are really just to get the toaster. Because who doesn't love toast?! SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

Because I spent enough time trying to track the problem down and gpuYour choice. Apparently my toaster is still held up in shipping....LOL. And mind you, I am NOT dissing the Einstein project.... I have contributed there when Seti was unavailable. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

To put it bluntly, I don't think that little voice is going to be found in my lifetime which is on the downhill side. KenW |

To put it bluntly, I don't think that little voice is going to be found in my Perhaps not. But if we do not look, we could never find it. May take longer than my lifetime as well, but I am proud to be making the attempt. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I installed the latest Nvidia driver and Bonic Manager. I get "no gpu found" Whatever it is, I think it happened back in January. It looks like that's when the GPU went AWOL. Any ideas? And the GTX 650 is a pretty decent card @only 65W. Could get you 8000 a day maybe... not quite sure. |

I installed the latest Nvidia driver and Bonic Manager. I get "no gpu found" Did you install the Nvidia drivers directly from the Nvidia site or did you install the Nvidia drivers Windows offers? If the latter, then that's the culprit... Aloha, Uli |

Me thinks he doesn't care instead he would rather complain. |

I do care, but gpu units are not that important to me. They were the latest drivers without all the other junk I never use. Boinc 7.6.22 and the gpu units were running up until I install the new drivers. Nvidia says the drivers do support cuda. Something is not running correctly and it is not my 2 desktops. KenW |

Just get an older version of the nvidia driver and clean install it. Everyone always wants the new and greatest drivers but those are for games, not for crunching. There are reports of the latest Nvidia Drivers causing problems with number crunching here and Einstein. There really isn't a reason as to why upgrade them unless they can prove a very substantial gain for doing so. |

Ken I have 2 GTX 650 cards on 2 separate machines the slowest is the intel and it's pulling 7,600 approx. and that is doing just MB's My AMD will pull about 8500 doing just MB's When you load Nvida Drivers always do a CLEAN install witch is a option that will come up once you had started the install I'm running the 358.87 on my AMD and the GTX 650 does cuda with no prob's (to lazy to upgrade to 364 ) The Intel has the 364.51 driver and no problem The AMD is running win 7 the Intel is running win XP If you still have problems blame Microsoft and win 10 so roll back to win 7 on second thought you better not do that or you will have even bigger problems :-) |

Ken when you do Einstein it also uses Cuda to do units on the gpu so does it work when you are doing that project ?? The 650 GTX should pull about 25,000 plus doing Einstein units on the GPU . I just ran Einstein for about 2 1/2 months and did over 11 million (ok I also have a 680 witch pulls 80,000) the 680 is 3 1/2 times quicker than the 650 and they both run the same Nvida driver My point is that you do need to get Cuda to work as other projects also use Cuda too . |
