The great thing with you getting a single cheque rebate rather than having the approximately $30 a month is that it does give you the lump of cash you need for purchases like your car seat. If you'd been getting the "drip feed" of a deduction off your bill then I doubt you would have been able to afford the seat in a year's time never mind today - Why? Because you spend whatever money you have on your daily needs instead of saving up. Elsewhere you say you've seen a house you would like to buy in a year or so's time, now is the time to start SAVING, put a few dollars a month into a savings account. Every cent you save will be a cent less you have to borrow, and somewhat more than a cent you have to repay. Vic - you compartmentalise your income far to much for your own good - ANY money you get, from what ever source is your money. So if you get ANY money from GFM then part of ALL your money has come from GFM. A black seat does absorb a lot, I used to ride motorcycles, I have lived in the Desert since 1988, 28 years, I don't have fully working car a/c, yet, that is not cheap to fix, plus the car is 17 years old, some parts are not being made anymore. Places where I go often do not have shade, hence the term: Bring Your Own Shade And Water The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

In any case, you simply are missing the Target, by a country mile, heck you can't hit the broadside of a barn, though 37 years ago, I could do so and then some, I was an Army Sharpshooter, I never missed. No it's not an idle boast, I do have the medal and dog tags. Not bad for a city kid with asthma, who is ambidextrous, I was also the best archer in My Boy Scout troop and I got no practice. I'm out of cash again, this happens all the time, if I could employ someone, I would, I'm not rich, this will pass. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Maybe they will steal your ratty blanket over the black seat? I don't care where you live a lot of places you got to don't have shade. And even here in NY inside a car temps will go over 135 F. I know all about shiny black car seats in the sun - I used to work in LA, and had an AMC Gremlin and a Chrysler Cordoba. The Germlin had black vinyl seats, I always put a blanket over the seats when I left the car anywhere. Apart from the once, when I'd parked "in the shade" - eight hours later it was in full sun and I was only wearing shorts.... The Cordoba had tan leather seats and I thought "no need for the blanket", but was painfully wrong, they got nearly as hot... From then on I never trusted any car seat with "shiny" covers that didn't have a blanket over the seats. You should see the looks on car dealer's faces when I ask "Is there a fabric option?" when looking at a high end car with its fancy leather seats. Ok I got the seat unboxed, it's black, sort of, more like gray, Ford said $105 to install and hookup the cables and such from the old seat. Picture bombardment to commence. Salvo fire. The seat is now covered with a quilt, Grace approves. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Photobucket is down, sigh... I just need to vent. My Brothers old place, which I lived in for 4 years and had found for US in 2000, Yeah it's up for sale, I've made changes to My financial affairs, drastic changes, to get this place soon I'd need about $3,300.00, I do know what I need to do, but I do have to fix My car first, then I can implement the changes Myself over several months, which will fix My credit score to at least 640, places like this sell slowly, it'll need a Termite inspection, the place had them in 2004 and a general home inspection. I moved out in July 2004, before He passed in 2005... Events up North are possibly going to raise My income(76-0 vote), first in 2017, then again in 2018, I won't be rich, but I'll be able to afford this place, the rent is going up where I live at now. It was intended that I would be added to the Mortgage as soon as I had an income to compensate Me for loosing the old house that I'd picked for our Mom, But that was not to be, Emphysema and Lung Cancer got Him before that could happen, It was to be His last gift to Me, He was on Oxygen in 2000, morphine drip near the end in 2005, the cancer had gone to His head. I knew He was going to an Oncologist(same one our Mom went to, I stayed outside when Jim went inside, it was a bit much for Me, a 2nd time, 1st Mom, then Jim), He swore Me to secrecy while He was alive, We think He had cancer in 2000, We knew He had Emphysema, but not cancer. He was US Navy retired E9 after 20yrs, I got to live with Him from 1998 to 2003, His 3 grown kids and widow had Him from 2004-2005 in Her living room, in a Hospital Bed, everyone misses Him, though if I laugh, you'd hear My Brother, go figure.. The Kitchen, changed some, the shape is the same though, painted and such. The Living Room in this 1977 2 bedroom 2 bath 1344sqft mobile home, on a 7200sqft lot(no rent and no HOA!), possibly now on a foundation. $56,500.00 is the asking price. The 2nd bathroom, the floor looks tiled now. The Master Bathroom(Mine when I lived there), floor is new alright. My Bedroom, aka the Master Bedroom, a pet door was added, otherwise nothing GNU here. The backyard is fenced off now and there are 2 sheds there still. My older Brother when He was 61. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

On that house I'd need the following: $283 down(GSFA adds 5% on to this) $200-300 home inspection $???? Closing Costs (though the buyers agent can ask the seller to pay all closing costs, sometimes they say no, sometimes yes, this could be financed at one time, it might be an option still, a last resort option) $1500 Moving, this place is about 55-60 miles from My current place $300 Utility Deposits I just have to pay down some stuff to bring up My credit score, cough, cough(I had something cool to drink, I'm still coughing). 1st(a secured card), I pay that $702 or so down, close the card and then pay down one with a $300 limit, the $400 on the 3rd card, plus $200 on the 3rd card, My score will rise, as long as I keep the latter 2 cards balances low.. Photobucket is fixing their site, I hate asthma, just when I stopped coffin... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

If someone wanted to do something, I've no objection, the other campaign is closed now. https://www.gofundme.com/af86q2ts This area is driving Me crazy, rent going up, weather is hot, the mobile home pictured above is about 10-15F cooler than here, one of My friends is moving out cause the rent increase, there will be more increases, the park needs the money and My income won't support much more. The WORST THING YOU CAN DO TO IMPACT YOUR CREDIT SCORE IS CLOSE ANY CREDIT ACCOUNT -- Even if you have or intend to pay it off! That can HURT your score MANY points... SOURCE: Is closing a credit card good or bad? Closing credit cards will never help your credit score. The question is if closing accounts will hurt your credit score. How to cancel a credit card. With care, you can close an account without hurting your credit score. >>> Before you cancel a credit card In addition, potential lenders take into account the amount of credit still in use once a card and its associated credit limit gets canceled. That's because credit bureaus and lenders are interested in what is known as a balance-to-limit ratio, also known as your credit utilization ratio, which compares the amount of credit being used to the amount of total credit available to the borrower. |

I can ask to have it converted to a regular card, since the card can not be added to anymore I was told, so I'll pay off the smallest card instead, then the secured, then the 3rd card, as to My Paypal Credit account, I'll just continue making payments, since it does not show up on My credit report, I'd have to do something stupid for it to show up. Thanks for the tip, Dr Who Fan, I didn't know that. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

The mobile home I'm watching, just went from Pending, to Not Pending, so hope is still alive. Maybe the person couldn't find any financing, this can happen. When My Brother bought the place, We were told it was worth double what He bought it for, and to keep it quiet, lest the seller would want to renegotiate or even kill the deal. Still I have a long road to Dec 2018, I'll be ready enough by then. By June 2018 I should be started on saving what I'll need, at least I should. You'd better get saving NOW, then by the end of 2018 you will be in a much better financial state - even five or ten dollars a month mounts up. And NO spending money on computer stuff for the next two years and I'll match your savings up to $250, provided you have been saving regularly. Even one cent spent on ANY computer related item in the next two years and the offer is cancelled. You'd better get saving NOW, then by the end of 2018 you will be in a much better financial state - even five or ten dollars a month mounts up. I've already stopped on PC stuff(ebay notices are turned off too), I do need to install the following: Drivers seat($105/Ford), 2 tires($36/BarstowTire&Brake), 2 rear struts($100/Friend/$208/BarstowTire&Brake), work on brakes($100/LubeExpress). I do have a bill for $150 that is due on the 1st of July, I'd need $100 to start up a saving account, plus I'd need to go into the bank branch in Barstow for that. Which is why nothing can be started on the car or anything else until August 1st gets here... Driving with a broken drivers seat is a bit painful to My hands, since I have to hold on with both hands to the steering wheel, especially when I go up hill. Car Repairs is back on, but that would be for car repairs only, but then It shows My car there, sorry it's the only one that I could find easily. Today I spent $16 on a haircut and $4 on gasoline for the car, I have $20.04 in the bank account still. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

You can start saving without a saving account - just put cash in a "safe" place every month, say ten dollars into an old coffee jar. In ten month's time you will have the hundred dollars you need to start the savings account, and will be "in the habit" of not spending that ten dollars so won't miss it when you start the monthly auto-transfer between current into your savings account. For someone like yourself who can only afford to make small monthly savings it can be advantageous to look at the credit unions. Many of them have much lower starting deposits, lower minimum deposit, and lower monthly investments required to maintain a saving account free of charges. Compared to some of the "big banks" who charge "dollars to keep cents", require high starting deposits and high monthly investments - which is most certainly not in your interest.
