One is busted, the other is questionable since it has not had power applied yet, but then I have had better luck with Asus and I have severe anxiety problems.

As to upgrading, I am doing no such thing, I am recycling a Corsasir H70 cpu cooler that I have owned for years, I just gave it a good cleaning, the only fly in that ointment? I need a steel fan/radiator grill to mount the H70 in the top of my Cooler Master HAF-X case(Performance PCs has one for $20.95+ $12.77 shipping (USPS) or $33.72 total, I'd picked a Phobya Radiator Grill Triple Hexx in Silver, that's made of steel which should do), the HAF-X only allows for a 240 or a 360 type radiator, the. H70 is an AIO water cooler, self contained and only a 120x38mm radiator, plus 1 screw hole is stripped, otherwise the cooler with some dust held the idle temp at 38C @ 2.66GHz, the cpu in the EVGA is an X3480 @ 3.06GHz, plus the X3480 can use 8GB Dimms, or 32GB Total.

I bought 4 bags of cat food and a jar of peanut butter, plus gas for the car today, it's a 25 mile trip to the store for food.

The only bodily problem I am having right now is my arthritis in my shoulders torturing me. So no ambulance or paramedic is needed, though this phone is sure not helping, facebooks auto correct is nothing compared to the android here.

My uncle whom I never met, would have loved either one, but he was a fire chief, my grandla was the police chief, this was in Culver City CA back around 1920.

Vic what do you mean when your talking about the MBR and the chipset on the MoBo

that just sounds like a driver for the chipset problem I can't understand what a MBR has to do with it

Hasn't the drive got the NTFS file system ?

I also need a dvd rom drive w/a sata interface, my Windows install might need the dvd.

To get my files to work on the Asus RIVE I would need another 500GB WD Scorpio Black hdd and a cloning program and I don't have any of these.

In July, I think, I was going to buy 2 pairs of 8XL Jeans(30" inseam, 72" waist, no I am thinner than that, that gives me extra room in the thighs), which with shipping and hemming could be near $150.00 for the pair, the pair that I have on has holes in the pockets and the material in the right leg above the knee now has a tear there, the other pair is almost the same. In my size, used is not an option.

Vic,

Zombu2 turned me onto Clonezilla, a freeware Hard Drive Imaging Program. I've made use of it cloning my Win 7 Drive. I have to reclone the Win 7 Drive due to changes I've made in the Master Drive. Once I've recloned, I will Upgrade my Win 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro.

Clonezilla is EASY to use, too.

Vic, to install and run Windows 7 you only need a small cheap hard drive, not an expensive high capacity one - my main cruncher runs off a 160GB drive, with most of the data on an additional drive.
So, given your pecuniary state, I wouldn't look any further than :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA5AD3KE4416 which is fifteen bucks for a new one, or ten bucks for a refurbished one - this is a lot less than the 85 to 90 bucks for the disk you want, but do not need.

Sounds good TL.

Meanwhile this phones keyboard id driving me crazy...

I am working on getting access to my photobucket account, like I said at times this keyboard is ok, other times...

So until I can get the grill to bridge the gap, my haf-x case has no support in the top for a 120mm radiator, I do have a picture of that on Facebook, just not yet on photobucket, pb is down for maintenance currently, but I have emailed support, hopefully they will do what their password recovery can't do, let me login with a new password on my current email address, since the account name points to a dead email address.

Darth MBR is the partition type, this is not a driver. A format sits on top of a partition, erase tbe partition and ones data goes along witb the format.

I have used Computers since 1980 and built pcs since 1992.

I'm surprised to see rice as a prominent ingredient in cat food.

My income is from the government and the SSA said that what I get is not taxable, of course the amount is inadequate...

I have everythin on one hdd, are you suggesting that erase stuff??????

I will not, what you imply is repugnant...

I like using a 2.5" hdd that is fast and yet is a low power device and like I said its all on one drive, I want to restore, not erase...
