The little hamlet that we moved to in 1965, When I was 13 is half gone now.

This reminds me of a town I heard about a few years ago that was de-populated due to an uncontrollable fire in the coal mines. I think it's still smoldering down below.

We also had three neighborhoods removed to accommodate airport expansion. It's weird driving around there because the airport just wanted the homes gone because additional airplane noise was going to be a major nuisance, and so what it is left are the driveways, sidewalks, street signs and streetlight poles. Very eerie and twilight zoney.

The mind is a weird and mysterious place

The world has changed. I grew in Southern California. I rode my dirt bike on trails that are now luxury home developments. I once attended a boy scout jamboree in this field that was miles from anything. Today it has a freeway next to it and is a shopping center. Well I am sitting on a beach enjoying the surf and sun. The seas of change are on the land, the sea of life is eternal.

told my sister today about one thing I remembered was when I was born the doc. and he slapped me on the butt and said how could you do this to your mother. lol lol
