The whale was cared for properly.
Surely, a captive whale cannot be expected to live the same life as one in the wild, but these allegations are baseless.

Would you support someone having a domestic cat and keeping it forever in a small
cage where it can get minimal exercise? Would you support someone doing that with
a dog? That's what's happening with these captured whales and dolphins.

What really pisses me off is that so many people see the acronym PETA and ignore
everything else. PETA does a lot of good things. A LOT of good things. Do
you approve of whale captivity just because PETA doesn't? Do you approve of
abusing animals just because PETA doesn't? Of course not! If you hate PETA, you
just need something to hate.

What I would prefer is an attitude of "I don't agree with PETA on this, but other
things they do are good."

Or do you hate EVERYTHING PETA does? Because that's just illogical.

I do not hate everything that PETA is.
I indeed have found some of their quests to be quite noble.

I have found my own quests for myself. I cannot agree with everything PETA has done. They are quite far off base on several accounts.

I happen to hold all animal's lives as sacred. They are innocent, and therfore cannot be held accountable for their actions. Their lives are ours only to take care of and account for. Cats have souls, and as such, can be admitted to heaven.
Cats have souls. I know this for a fact. Tigger has a soul. She will be ADMITTED through the gates much as I shall. God has a place for animals.

Seaworld happened to have announced today that it is discontinuing it's captive breeding program and orca thrill show. The plan to let the remaining Orca live out their "natural" lives and phase out the theatrical shows in favor of natural orca encounters.
